The rhythm of your pulse tells your story. ⏜⏝⏜⏝
It is the resonance of your vital organs offering a glimpse into states of harmony, deficiency, or even excess. Pulse diagnosis acts as a guide to help us determine the most effective acupuncture points to restore balance in the body.
 
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), pulse diagnosis interprets a patient’s health by assessing the pulse’s rate, force, depth, and quality to understand the condition of their qi (life force) and blood. Common meanings include a floating pulse suggesting an external illness like a cold, while a deep pulse can indicate an internal, chronic condition. Qualities like a wiry pulse can signal pain or stress, a slippery pulse may point to dampness or phlegm, and a weak pulse often indicates a deficiency in qi or blood.
 
Along with tongue diagnosis and palpation, the pulse offers a window into the body’s internal workings allowing us to more readily tune into the rhythm and needs of the individual.

The Birth of a Mother ♡ Acupuncture for Labor Induction
Weekly acupuncture beginning at 36 weeks, can help to prepare the body for labor and delivery and promote relaxation and restful sleep. Before labor begins, acupuncture can be especially helpful to ripen the cervix, release oxytocin, and encourage a more natural, efficient labor. While sometimes medical interventions are necessary, acupuncture can help the process to go more smoothly and efficiently.

How Does Labor Induction Acupuncture Work?
Acupuncture points for labor induction acupuncture are focused on the parasympathetic nerves from the sacrum. The acupuncture treatment helps by helping to activate these nerves and help start the process of labor. The acupuncture treatments before labor have also been show to increase the secretion of oxytocin, the main hormone which stimulates uterine muscle contractions.​

In addition to the specially selected needles, this session focuses on relaxing the mommy-to-be with guided meditation, essential oils, warmed towels and acupressure massage.

I originally created this blend as a post cupping recovery oil. I knew I wanted an arnica infusion to assist in pain and inflammation reduction. I added in eucalyptus, lavender, camphor and menthol crystals. It works exceptionally well for headaches, joint pain, general stress and tension. At the conclusion of my Acupuncture sessions, I typically apply Phased Body and with great feedback overtime, the recipe was perfected!

We specialize in holistic anti-aging, pain management, and women’s health. Our wellness collective includes practitioners who are passionate about their craft, each bringing an expert awareness in their offerings. We offer Acupuncture, Organic Skin Care, Massage Therapy, Reiki, Sound Healing + monthly meditations. We use Organic and Fair Trade products in all of our treatments! Gift Certificates are available for all occasions. Our treatment scope is broad and ranges greatly with each individual, here are a few examples why patients seek our care: pain management, fertility, stress management, oncology support, menstrual health, hormone balancing, anti-aging, dermatology, digestive disharmonies, respiratory health, immune boosting, energy balancing, sleep disturbance and more. For pediatric cases or needle sensitive patients we offer tuning forks, micro-current light therapy, and vibrational medicine as an alternative to needles. * Most PPO insurance policies accepted.
