Still so full from this weekend, the midyear Wild Women Rising three day in-person retreat for the year-long cohort. Beyond my expectations and beyond words. I’ll try to find some later, but this pic gives a taste.

This is me with love eyes at the Wild Women Zoom retreat today, “Mother’s Story as Legacy”: exploring how we’re shaped by the lives our mom’s led or did not lead.

We spoke to our mom’s, saying everything we wish they could hear, and then said aloud what we wish in our heart of hearts to hear from them. Our partner’s read it back and it got in here deep. Lots of tears.

So grateful for these women showing up to heal generational trauma on a gorgeous Saturday. So grateful this is the work I get to do in the world. All while smelling jasmine with the cats in the moon garden.

Your healing matters. Do your healing work and keep the hope alive.

And we get to be in person in June! I am in love with this cohort. 😍

The best four books I’ve read in the last twenty-five years. All Fours is sort of a runner up (a peri-menopause heroine’s journey). Dear Sugar I’ve read three or four times, the whole thing makes me cry, it’s the most accessible. Demon Copperhead and The Overstory may be two of the best books ever written.

I spent eight days in New Zealand with these women who are the core of my foundational support. We’ve built a huge amount of safety and trust and I’m amazed by these moments of group therapy we had.

Moments where two of us got activated and the other two held the container, sometimes with mediation, sometimes therapy. All of us grounded and skilled, leaning in, trusting we could repair.

And we did. The conflicts brought us closer. Isn’t conflict crazy like that? But there’s always the chance it won’t, that’s why it’s brave.

Anyhow, my message is, Group Therapy Rocks. We couldn’t have done what we did without the support, safety and containment of the group (the four of us).

We can all do this for each other (if we have the skills, safety, courage and support).

Some folks won’t meet you and that’s ok. In most cases, it’s with the risk.

(Or you could join a group like Wild Women Rising for the built in support and nudging).

Just group therapy: I fu***ng love it. Most of our deepest wounds are relational, and so the healing needs to be in that context.

So go forth and have the hard convos!

First time traveling internationally in 20 years!

Missing the love sandwich of The Gathering, even though it was so much work!

The first night, after holding all the entry anxiety, I was thinking, “Why am I even doing this? Do I even like leading retreats?”

The next morning, in the frosty grass in the way to breakfast, I found a Soul Note, “Magic will happen today.” Holy s**t, it did.

The next night it was holding everyone who had cracked open: flanking someone who couldn’t stand or find words for what was moving through her, in a sandwich with another leader, then eating dinner with one hand, holding someone whose trauma had been activated.

But then the third night! Everyone on the other side of the intense process, singing karaoke, their wild women busted free, the intimacy we built together.

And the last day (pictured here), “Hugging Gurus.” All the tears as the love got in and the gushing of everyone leaving, with so much healing, connection, and value.

I DO love leading retreats! Now I get a WHOLE YEAR with the 48 amazing women who joined the cohort. And this Friday I’m off to New Zealand!

Women of The Gathering, how are you doing???

I’m feeling so high and proud. This whole launch—on calls with my assistant, the caterer, leaders, and retreat center staff, signing up awesome participants, doing calls naked in the treehouse in the sun—I’m like, “This is my job?” It’s felt like make believe, like I’m a kid playing “Transformational Program Creator/Retreat Guide” (if only little girls knew to dream about that!)

But when we all came together and especially when we all departed—full, transformed, gushing over with love and cracked open vulnerable healing—it become real. This is what I get to do. It’s so much bigger than me, but I raised my hand and said “pick me!” Then I set about to do the work.

Wild Women Rising 2025 is launched and I can’t wait to spend this year with these 48 amazing women.
