🌱 Our garden is in bloom at the Food Is Medicine Garden at Hansen Family Health Center in Woodland! This special space offers patients and staff a peaceful place to relax, garden, or enjoy a lunch break, plus free fresh fruits, vegetables, and nutrition resources in our waiting rooms. Open 5 days a week with cooking & gardening classes available monthly. 🌿

CommuniCare Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing health care services to the culturally diverse, low-income, uninsured, and underinsured residents of Yolo County and the surrounding area. Founded in 1972, it is CommuniCare’s mission to provide comprehensive and high quality health care to anyone in our community regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. CommuniCare offers comprehensive primary medical and dental services, perinatal services, behavioral health services, substance abuse treatment, and health education services at three primary care health centers and provides services at an additional five satellite sites. Outreach services are provided in the communities throughout the area. Last year, CommuniCare served one in every eight residents of Yolo County, providing 134,326 patient visits for 27,038 patients and 566 births.
