Just a quick update: Our monthly Centering Dance event is still on hiatus this month. But don’t worry, it’s for all the right reasons! I’m still marinating in the deeply nourishing experiences I've had in some recent embodiment workshops, and I’m excited to bring that richness and expansion to our gatherings!

Also, I’m taking some much-needed time to fully support my body in recovering from Covid. Our collective health and well-being are always top of mind, and I’m committed to bringing my best self to our gatherings.

In this time of notable social, political, environmental, and personal uncertainty, let us remember the importance of right relationship with our bodies, our loved ones, our communities, and the earth. I encourage you to be brave in asking for and offering support, channeling fear and anger into meaningful action in your community, and remembering to rest and play. The only way to weather storms is together, and we need each other now more than ever.

I’m so grateful for our vibrant, growing community. I’m aiming to be back next month, and I’ll keep you posted on any updates. In the meantime, go to my page and follow the link to sign up for the mailing list and stay in the loop! As a bonus, you'll receive a link to my playlists on Spotify so you can practice meditative dance in the comfort of your own home.

Here's to the power of collective resilience and deepening connection!

Important Update on Centering Dance!

Hello friends! I want to thank you for being part of the Centering Dance community. This month (May), I've decided to take a brief hiatus to reflect on our journey so far and fine-tune our vision and systems.

Centering Dance will not be held this month, but I'm excited to share that we'll be back soon with new developments and updates!

In the meantime, if you're curious about Centering Dance or want to stay informed about our upcoming events, you can learn more and sign up for updates. Just check out my page for the details.

As a bonus, when you sign up, you'll receive a link to my playlists from previous events, perfect for personal practice or sharing with friends!

One of the ways I fuel my ongoing embodiment journey is by attending somatic and embodiment-focused workshops and events. This month, I attended two different events, and it has me stewing in the richness of conscious somatic practice and how it nourishes us in deeper ways.

What I mean is, the way in which, what you experience in the dance - in the encounter with what is alive *in* the body *in* the moment - is a reflection of what often is alive, in one way or another, in so many aspects of life and experience.

- The constriction, the fear, the self-doubt...

- The freedom, the unique creative impulse, the courage to expand and express...

- The way leaning on the edges of the comfort zone in the safety of a container like an event or workshop helps one to lean on the edges of the comfort zone in the day-to-day of one's relationships and work in the world.

This profoundly integrating nature of somatic embodiment practice is my WHY with Centering Dance.

I want more of it, and I want to make sure others know it’s available to them, as well.

There are so many ways to experience this. Any practice that has you attuning to the connection between your body, mind, and spirit can be this elixir of life.

I would love to hear about the ways you are finding the richness of growth and integration. Comment and tell me about the practices that are inspiring and fueling your embodiment journey.

And consider joining us, tomorrow, for Centering Dance!

Next week is the 4th Tuesday, which means it's your opportunity to explore embodiment at Centering Dance.

Centering Dance is a 90-minute immersive experience with inspiring music, intuitive movement, and mindfulness prompts designed to expand self-awareness and self-expression.

This might be for you if:

- You struggle to focus or sit still during meditation or mindfulness practices

- You overthink or feel stuck in your head

- You tend to neglect or disconnect from your body

- You're feeling uninspired, aimless, or craving something more

- You're feeling the need for stress relief

- You're drawn to free form dance, even though you don't identify as "a dancer"

- You're looking for ways to play

- You're curious about embodiment practices or just love the idea of another opportunity to practice embodiment!

Come - satiate your curiosity, knock loose that stuck feeling, release the overwhelm, and rediscover inspiration.
