Three years ago, I took a deep breath, trusted my gut (and my pelvic floor knowledge), and opened the doors to Awaken Pelvic Therapy.
Why?
Because I was tired of hearing people say:
“I guess this is just my new normal.”
“I’ve had two babies… what do you expect?”
“My doctor just wants me to have surgery.”
“I’m just going to live with it.”
Leaking when you run.
Pain with intimacy.
Feeling disconnected from your core.
Avoiding workouts you used to love.
Planning your day around the bathroom.
Common? Maybe.
Normal? No.
Untreatable? Absolutely not.
I opened Awaken Pelvic Therapy because people in our community deserve more than being dismissed. They deserve one-on-one care. They deserve answers. They deserve someone who listens to the whole story and doesn’t rush them out the door.
And over the last three years, I’ve watched so many walk in nervous, embarrassed, or frustrated… and walk out stronger, more confident, and back to doing the things they love.
Back to lifting.
Back to running.
Back to intimacy without fear.
Back to laughing without crossing their legs.
Back to feeling like themselves again.
That’s why this work matters.
It’s not “just pelvic floor.”
It’s freedom.
It’s confidence.
It’s dignity.
It’s strength.
