As of Wednesday, Ohio's medical ma*****na cultivators can now request permission to expand their grow space. Expansion requests will be granted to businesses that have complied with rules and regulations, are already using the maximum amount of space allowed by the state, and demonstrate a need to expand to keep up with demand.

After the state's COVID-19 emergency declaration ended in June, the medical board decided to resume the in-person requirement on Sept. 17. This month, the date was pushed to Dec. 31 to allow a "longer exit ramp."

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?
A bill pending in the state legislature would likely make permanent the rules that were in place during the pandemic.

Already passed out of one chamber, part of House Bill 122 would allow providers to give telehealth services for initial and annual visits as long as the appropriate standard of care is met.
