Did you know❓

Experiencing trauma can temporarily make certain "Boss Skills" in your brain much harder to use. These are called Executive Functions.

Executive Functions include things like paying attention, controlling big impulses, planning steps to finish a task, and remembering instructions. Trauma stresses the part of the brain that manages these skills (the prefrontal cortex), making tasks that require focus and self-control feel overwhelming.🧐

7 Tips to Reduce Stress

Pause and intentional breaths
• Move your body in a way that feels good
• Step away from screens and take a real break
• Prioritize rest—sleep is not a luxury
• Say no when something feels like too much
• Journal or talk it out instead of holding it in
• Make time for small things that brings you peace and happiness.

Stress is not good if you do not do something about it, and suffering doesn’t have to be. Small choices, done consistently, can change everything. ✨

Emotional exhaustion doesn’t always manifest as a breakdown—it often presents itself quietly.
If several of these 15 signs feel familiar, your mind may be asking for rest, not more pushing. Pause, set boundaries, and remember: caring for yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s necessary. ❤️

🌻 Adult ADHD: It's More Than Just Inattention
It's common to believe ADHD is something you outgrow. The truth is, it often transforms and persists into adulthood, manifesting in ways that can feel frustrating, confusing, or simply like a failure to "adult."

You are not lazy, unmotivated, or a failure. You are operating with a difference in brain function, and once you understand it, you can begin to find accommodations and systems that work for you, not against you. Understanding your ADHD is the first step toward self-compassion and success on your own terms.❤️

12/12/2025

Experiencing trauma can fundamentally shift your sense of safety, trust, and connection to others. It’s an overwhelming experience that, if left unaddressed, can lead the brain to stay in a constant state of defense. If these intense and draining feelings are keeping you from living a full, present life, please know this. You are strong for surviving, and there is genuine hope for recovery and healing.✨

Here are 5 Common Symptoms that may indicate you are processing past trauma:
1. Intrusive Thoughts- Unwanted, recurring memories that feel overwhelming, including vivid flashbacks where you feel like the event is happening right now.
2. Avoidance- Actively steering clear of places, people, or activities that remind you of the event, sometimes even forgetting key parts of the trauma itself.
3. Sleep Problems- Insomnia, difficulty staying asleep, or frequent, disturbing nightmares that leave you exhausted and unable to rest fully.
4. Constant Tension (Hyperarousal)- Feeling constantly anxious, restless, or hyper-alert—always scanning for danger, or being easily startled by sudden noises.
5. Emotional Shutdown- Feeling numb, detached from your body or reality (dissociation), or being unable to access or express positive emotions like joy or love.

If you recognize these signs, your next step is to reach out for professional help today. You don't have to carry this burden alone. 🤝
