Sometime they need a little help transitioning from being a water baby to a land baby.

About 10% of babies need some support figuring out its time to breathe. Resuscitating newborns is a skill in our midwifery tool box that we do when needed. But like everything with home birth, we perform neonatal resuscitation on or next to the parents with their active involvement.
