Uttanasana is an often overlooked, but vital part of yoga practice. It's inversion, release, and sensory blockage give the body the time and space to truly drop into the present moment.

👁 Literally forcing your eyes to the ground, you have a choice--either stare at your feet, or shut down your eyes. With your vision of the rest of the room occluded, your mind can shut out the rest of the noise and bring itself into the practice.

😮‍💨 With a soft bend in both knees, the spine can release like a long slow exhale after a tough day at work.

🩸 The weight of the blood pooling down into your third eye brings intention into your practice and awakens your true self into what's about to unfold.

You arrive carrying the weight of the day — tight shoulders, racing thoughts, a nervous system stuck on “go.” ⏩

You settle onto your mat. The room softens. Your breath starts shallow… then deeper… then fuller than it’s felt in a long time. ✨

With each guided inhale, tension begins to loosen its grip. 💫

With every exhale, emotions you didn’t know you were holding start to move — safely, gently, without force.

Your mind quiets. Your body speaks. You remember what it feels like to be grounded… present… supported. 🤍

Some students feel warmth or tingling. Some release tears. Some experience a deep, peaceful stillness they haven’t touched in years.

But everyone leaves with one thing in common — a nervous system that finally feels heard. 🙏
