Mark your calendars for the Valley Giving Guide on December 2nd. This is an opportunity to participate in the celebration by donating to your preferred nonprofit organization(s). Notably, Blue Mountain Counseling is a nonprofit entity.

Please visit valleygivingguide.org for more information. Donations have a significant impact on nonprofits across our region, including Walla Walla, Umatilla, Columbia, and Garfield counties. This is a day to give generously. Let’s demonstrate that our region is characterized by kindness and generosity.

We are excited to be part of the Valley Giving Guide. You can support our campaign by visiting valleygivingguide.org and donating on December 2nd.

We appreciate the donations we have received, which have enabled us to further our work as your local behavioral health provider. We have utilized previous donations to purchase a TV for our family room, a Little Free Library outside our office building, host appreciation events for our clients, assist staff in accessing specialized training, and acquiring resources and mental health materials for those we serve. We have witnessed firsthand the impact of your donations and how we can utilize them to benefit our community.

Blue Mountain Counseling is grateful for the support received during the giving day and looks forward to sharing more stories about our impact on those we serve.

Find us on Facebook, Instagram, and our website at www.bluemtncounseling.org.
With gratitude-

Waitsburg Christian Church is stepping up in a truly compassionate manner to help those who need shelter for a night or two; for parents who need diapers; and for community members who need food and clothing.

Waitsburg Christian Church

Please contact via Facebook, their webpage or the Waitsburg Resource Center if help is needed.

Sharing a photo of the new ADA bathroom at the Waitsburg Christian Church.

The bathroom is a great addition to the church’s emergency, temporary shelter ministry. The church hosts individuals and families in need of shelter for 1-3 nights as they transition through our community to better services in Walla Walla or Tri-Cities.

The Gregutts also last weekend donated a beautiful queen-size sleeper sofa with new mattress to this ministry.

People can enjoy a safe place to sleep, full bathroom and shower amenities and kitchen access. Pastor Cameron will often cook them a warm meal. On their last day, the church’s benevolence fund will provide funding to fill up their gas tank.

The church also has a sizable clothing bank for babies, children and adults and a small-scale diaper bank. The church clothing and diaper banks are open every Thursday in coordination with the Waitsburg Resource Center, providing food, clothing and diapers to our community. The church has served hundreds with its clothing bank and has sent more than 4,000 diapers out to babies in Waitsburg, Dayton, Dixie and Starbucks since it began in October 2024.

Today is International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day, also known as 💙

For survivors of su***de loss, there is a unique and powerful comfort that may be gained by being in the presence of others who have experienced this complex type of loss. 🫂✨

Today, in-person events are taking place around the world, bringing su***de loss survivors together to gain understanding and support each other’s healing journeys. Some people attend every year as a way of honoring their loved one, checking in with themselves, and healthily recognizing the way their feelings evolve over time.

Join us today at 7pm EST for Live or find an event near you at afsp.org/survivorday
