Before the Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system goes live at Dayton VA on June 6, 2026, there are some dates where online capabilities in My HealtheVet on VA.gov and the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app will be suspended so that data can be transferred to the new EHR.
Secure Messaging and VA Prescription Renewals Online:
Veterans can communicate through secure online messages on My HealtheVet on VA.gov and the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app until 11:59 p.m. ET on May 30th, with service resuming on June 8th. This includes sending secure messages to request prescription renewals.
VA Prescription Refills Online:
Veterans can request refills of their VA prescriptions on My HealtheVet on VA.gov and the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app until 11:59 p.m. ET on June 2nd, with service resuming on June 8th.
During this time, Veterans can still request prescription refills and renewals at an appointment, by mailing in a refill slip, or by calling the pharmacy at 937-268-6511 ext. 3027 and speaking to a representative.
