Mission Addiction

Mission Addiction We teach & coach individuals, couples & families how to heal, restore & transform their lives. Everyone is welcome!

Our spiritual family allows you to connect, learn, and grow in faith. You do not have to be impacted by addiction to benefit from or participate in our events and services. Although we’re a Christian organization and those values are evident everywhere, you do not have to be a Christian to volunteer or attend. We embrace culturally diverse clients and volunteers. We depend upon that variation of thought to contribute to effective services and growth for everyone. MISSION ADDICTION
Anything is possible when we walk together™

It’s National “I Am In Control” Day.
You can’t control everything this week - but you can control your next step.
That’s where progress begins.

We have a habit of getting creative with helping people plug in to serve and grow. It's part of our "Mission Addiction." Lucy is the teenage sister/daughter of some Map grads, with a budding interest in cooking and catering. Edward asked if she'd want to practice and let us be her first "client" for the Map graduation last night - she did GREAT!

We enjoyed homemade soft pretzel bites with cheese sauce, buffalo chicken dip, ciabatta bread sandwiches, chicken salad croissants, pasta salad, and veggies with dip. (and cake from Elé) YUM!

Let us know if you'd like to reach her for help with your next event.

Congratulations to our latest Map graduates - tonight is your moment!

Not because it was easy. Not because everything is “fixed.”
But because you stayed. You kept showing up.
That matters more than people think.

We’re grateful to witness your journey, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, wondering if this could be for you… it can! The next series starts May 21st! You don’t have to stay on the sidelines!

Edward shares a thought that might make you think twice, before you hold back a positive comment. It’s simple—but it raises a bigger question about how we connect with the people around us.

When was the last time you kept something positive to yourself?
What stopped you?

“I realized I wasn’t listening.”

There was a time when I found myself frustrated with my partner frequently. He tends to be more logical, while I lean more emotional, and that difference often created tension between us (mostly me.)

When I sat down and really thought about it, I realized I wasn’t actually listening - I was just responding. Most people who know me know I care deeply, but caring doesn’t always mean you’re truly hearing the person in front of you.

During those moments, I wasn’t trying to understand - I was trying to respond, explain, defend, or even play the victim. And that negatively affected both the conversation and our relationship.

Through the Map for Life program, I learned how to pause and recognize what was happening in me - my thoughts, my reactions, and the urge to respond immediately.

Instead of reacting, I learned to slow down and actually listen. That shift made a significant difference in both our conversations and our relationship. It’s a big part of why we’re still together today.

Love isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like patience, grace, or choosing not to keep score.

But that kind of love takes intention.

What does loving someone “deeply” actually look like in your life right now? Comment below.

Spring has a way of reminding us that growth takes time.

Trees don’t bloom overnight, and neither do people.
Healing, change, and progress often happen slowly.

Happy First Day of Spring!

As this new season begins, what is one thing you’re looking forward to in your life?
