The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has begun preparing for Shop with a Sheriff! This year Santa has come to town and is asking for you to come by and stuff his boot!!
Shop with a Sheriff goes back many years, and is a great program to further our mission of breaking down barriers between our youth and law enforcement. The Shop with a Sheriff program gives the opportunity for underprivileged youth from our communities to shop for Christmas presents with first responders from the area.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has set the goal at providing 35 local children with the Shop with a Sheriff experience. That means our fundraising goal is $10,500! Any donations can be made at any Lyon County Sheriff’s Office substation.

Come on down to McKinley Park in Reno, what a wonderful craft fair this is going to be. I am all set up with all kinds of wonderful new designs and some of your favorites as well. This is at the McKinley cultural an art center in the park area and this is a Reno sooooo privilege to the candy dance but about a quarter of the size and tomorrow they will be a pumpkin chucking contest.

Girl power in the house! Two tile jobs this week where I got to start training Cherish all things tile. Results were remarkable, and Cherish is hooked on tile cleaning like I am! We always try to remember to vacuum out the bathroom ceiling fans at least once a month, but I had no idea this is why we were doing it, to prevent fires! I just didn’t like how dirty and fuzzy they looked, gross!
So if you’re not vacuuming them out, now’s a good time to do it!
