I’ve been reading the Tarot for over 15 years and pride myself in a down-to-earth therapeutic approach. I want the cards to speak to you directly as much as possible rather than layering them behind mysterious and vague language. I’m also a mom of a wee witch that has me exploring combining divination and witchcraft with early education (we homeschool!). There are two sides to every coin, hence why Charon the ferryman doesn’t take bills.

I also was pretty deeply in my horror mood (insert something witty about the state of the government here or something) so multiple selections blur the horror/other genre lines 🤷‍♀️

On International Women’s Day I thought I’d share some of my favorites from my bookshelf that aren’t written by men. I have four longtime favorites and four new favorites!
I then realized how much I limited myself by only using books I own physically so I added a slide with beloved favorites that I don’t own a physical copy of but love just as much!!📖📚

And of course, because of this account also adoring card decks, I had to include some favorite femme/women focused decks in my collection. 🎴

I’ve had a this charm bracelet since high school (the bottom one). The charms have changed or been added over the last couple decades and I’ve gone years with it buried in a jewelry box or forgotten in the bottom of a purse. But never lost. After I had my kiddo, I got compulsive about wearing it again. And she became enamored with it.

This year she’s 7 and finally expressed interest in wearing her own jewelry. So for Yule/Xmas I decided to make her a charm bracelet! The trickiest part was finding a chain both small/light yet sturdy enough for her little kiddo wrist but I managed! I had fun picking out charms that made me think of her or people closest to her (I have a lot of charms on mine that represent others and she likes that). I presented options to her when she opened the wrapped box and then attached the ones she selected!
She had a blast and I’m tickled she liked it so much ☺️ My mommy heart is happy building memories like these that connect us.
