Second week of the open! Here’s what my warmup will look like tomorrow - plus anything else I decide to add based on how my body is feeling. I’ve been battling a shoulder injury since October, so I’ll personally have a pretty thorough upper body warm up.

Bike 5 min
Squats x10-15
Lunges 2x8 each
Goblet lunge 2x8 each
Banded OH press 2x10
OH lunge 2x6 each arm
DB snatches 3x6 each building in weight
Lat pull down x15
Kip swings (if not doing strict) x 10
Pull ups x5-10

Best of luck!

It’s Open season! This is how I plan to warm up for 26.1:
Bike - 5 min
90/90 hip transitions - x10ish
Tempo squats - 3 second descent x8
Goblet squats - x8
Wall ball thruster - x8
banded OH press - 2x8
Step ups - x8 each
Calf raises - x15 (wish I’d done them off a plate)
Box jumps - x10
Wall balls -x8

While this is a great place to start, some people may want to warm up their wrists and forearms. I may throw in some thoracic mobility work beforehand as well. And don’t forget to cool down as well!

Good luck y’all!

Somehow it’s already been 6 months since I started seeing patients at InForm! You’ve come in for everything from headaches to plantar fasciitis. We’ve improved pelvic floors, c-section scars, and breathing mechanics. Patients have come in pregnant and postpartum. We’ve fixed squat and deadlift mechanics. It’s all been SO fun! Thank you for trusting me with your care!

Danielle came in with a history of lower back pain 🧨 that had recently become more frequent and more intense.

We started with dry needling 💉and soft tissue work to calm things down. Then we worked on body awareness and mechanics, including retraining how she used her TA (core), glute and hamstring recruitment, breathing mechanics 🫁 and squat depth, amongst other things.

Yesterday she completed a 40 min CrossFit workout 🏋🏻‍♀️ (12 Days of Christmas, IYKYK 😅). She did thrusters, snatches, front squats, and cleans - all movements that 8 weeks who would have blown up her back, and today her back is just “a little sore”! 👏🏻

As an added bonus, I got to do the workout with her yesterday! 💪🏻 I watched the progress live. I saw her TA working differently than I’ve seen it work the last 5 years.

Hearing and seeing people meet their goals is what it’s all about. Sure, my goals for them matter too, but THEIR goals are why I do this. Their quality of life improves. Their activity levels improve. Their mood improves. This is exactly why I love what I do! 🩵

Curious about how InForm can help you? Message me and let’s chat about how we can work to improve your quality of life, too!
