🌐 In a digital-first world, it’s easy to see screens as competition for attention at live events, but what if they could actually enhance it?

Here are 3 ways Scott Dzierzanowski, Executive Creative Director at Impact XM, recommends using digital to elevate your next experiential event:

1️⃣ Avoid Feeds - Use Group Chats for Engagement Social feeds are crowded and algorithm-driven; group chats feel direct and personal. Whether it’s a Slack workspace, WhatsApp thread, or SMS opt-in, giving attendees a channel instead of a feed makes it easier to share updates, reminders, and insider content that gets seen.

2️⃣ Authentic is Better than Polished
Highly produced content has its place, but short, imperfect clips from employees, attendees, or even real-time reactions at an in-person event, often travel further. They make a brand feel human, bringing the energy of the live experience into digital stories.

3️⃣ Navigation is a Digital Pillar
At large shows, attendees are always looking for shortcuts; where to go, what’s worth their time, and what they can’t miss. If you become a source of online guidance — quick maps, “don’t miss” tips, fast fact checks — you can earn trust because you’re solving real problems.

Not one, but two of our client campaigns have been named winners in Top 50 Campaigns of the Year for 2025, a prestigious program recognizing the most innovative and high-impact marketing initiatives across the industry.

🎉 Balance earned top honors in the Best Olympic Games Tie-In/Activation category for its “Run Your Way” brand experience at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field.

This immersive activation featured a custom two-story mobile hub with a CITIUS Mag podcast studio upstairs for live athlete interviews, and a fan lounge downstairs for event viewing and brand engagement. 

Located beside local favorite Prince Puckler’s Gourmet Ice Cream, the experience included a playful coin hunt where visitors could redeem their finds for free ice cream, blending sport, community, and culture. The campaign amplified New Balance’s athlete stories, and connected with fans in memorable ways.

💪 Also recognized was The IBD Project by Takeda at DDW, which took home the award for Best Campaign by a Healthcare Brand. 

The campaign brought TheIBDProject.com and IBDIQ.com to life through an interactive, multi-zone experience that combined patient stories, educational modules, and hands-on engagement for healthcare professionals. Featuring a premium, soccer-inspired design across four distinct zones, the activation showcased a stunning 116-inch TV, halo lighting, and dynamic product displays.
