Earlier this week Dr. Jeff Bloom was invited to speak at the Operation Veteran and Caregiver Support Muster & Mingle. It was during this event he got to meet and help educate around 30 veterans and their family members on the top causes of vision loss. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to have a role in the community outside of traditional clinic time. Every day we witness patients informing us that it has been years since their last eye exam. The importance of annual routine checks, and care is the same as cleanings at the dentist and physicals with your primary care doctors. It is with the happiest of hearts I am able to report this feedback from one of the event coordinators. "It's been awhile since I've seen the veterans that engaged, they really got a lot out of Dr. Bloom's presentation." "They also really appreciated his laid back manner, one veteran said "He just seems like the kind of guy I can ask questions to without him judging me."

There are often hidden signs for eye diseases that will go unnoticed or documented for proper care and treatment. Please call us to schedule your exam.

Dr. Jeff is looking forward to seeing all the attendees tonight at the Muster & Mingle. This is a private event but if you wish to hear the educational teaching on Cataracts there will be a recording done and the video will be uploaded this week.

This month’s Muster & Mingle features two outstanding guests you won’t want to miss!

Dr. Jeffery Bloom of Bloom Eye Surgeons will share practical guidance on eye health and the importance of preventative care.

We’ll also welcome Rebecca Sousek, Executive Director of the Piqua Compassion Network, who will highlight meaningful ways to get involved and serve our community through mentoring opportunities and more.

Come connect, learn, and discover new opportunities to make a difference
