Please join us in congratulating EMPros physician and AdventHealth Daytona Beach Assistant Medical Director, Dr. James Ontell, as he became an IRONMAN recently. He crossed the finish line of the Ironman Arizona with a great time of 15:06:50. He swam the 2.4 mile course in 1:48:15, biked the 112 miles in 7:30:14 and ran the marathon (26.2 miles) in 5:25:23.

The sheer amount of dedication it takes to train for an Ironman speaks volumes of what a determined person Dr. Ontell is. Congratulations Dr. Ironman!

On to AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway for our Q3 2025 patient experience awards!
Dr. Vanessa Valdivia, won the patient experience champ award with a 95.56 mean score and 97%ile rank, strong work, Dr. Valdivia! She’s been working shifts at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach so we had the pleasure of surprising and recognizing her there.
Dr. Kelly Glazer won the most improved with a 7.5-point increase in mean score and 55%ile increase in rank, up to the 90%ile! Way to go, Dr. Glazer!

We are so proud and appreciate you both for everything you do for your patients and enhancing their experience!

AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Foundation recently had their annual Holiday Charity Ball!
EMPros physicians, Drs. Greg Cuculino, Jay Taylor and Jose Rosado along with their wives were in attendance. Amazing ER Nurse Molly Brown and Firefighter Paramedic Brian Bridges were also in attendance. So thankful for our amazing TEAM!

Some of our amazing physicians were able to represent EMPros at a couple golf tournaments recently.
Drs. Duva and Riga participated in the South East Volusia Manufacturing and Technology Coalition annual golf tournament with proceeds going to benefit career education and workforce training!
Drs. McDermott, Ontell and Schneider participated in the AdventHealth Daytona Beach Foundation 15th annual golf tournament. Proceeds going to to benefit Women’s services at AdventHealth Daytona Beach.
