The Decision principle from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill reminds college students that success often comes down to being decisive and taking action. Whether you're choosing a major, applying for internships, starting a project, or pursuing an opportunity, waiting too long or constantly second-guessing yourself can hold you back. Hill found that successful people make decisions confidently and adjust only when necessary. For students, this means trusting your judgment, focusing on your goals, and not letting fear of others’ opinions stop you from moving forward.

Sleep Awareness Week is a powerful reminder for college students that sleep is not a luxury — it’s a performance strategy. Research from organizations like the National Sleep Foundation shows that young adults need 7–9 hours of quality sleep for optimal brain function, mood regulation, and immune health. Yet between late-night studying, social life, and screen time, sleep is often the first thing sacrificed. Chronic sleep deprivation impacts memory consolidation, emotional regulation, stress tolerance, and even decision-making — all essential for academic and personal success. Prioritizing consistent sleep habits is one of the most evidence-based ways to boost GPA, protect mental health, and build long-term resilience.

March is Self-Injury/Self-harm Awareness Month—a time to shed light on something many college students struggle with in silence. Between academic pressure, social stress, family expectations, and figuring out who you are, college can feel overwhelming. For some, self-injury becomes a way to cope with intense emotions, even if it’s not talked about openly.

If you’re struggling, you’re not “attention-seeking,” dramatic, or broken. You deserve support, understanding, and healthier coping tools. Reaching out—to a friend, a professor, campus counseling, or a trusted person—can feel scary, but you don’t have to handle everything on your own.

If someone you know is struggling, listen without judgment. Your compassion could make a bigger difference than you realize.
Let’s make our campus a space where mental health conversations are normal, support is visible, and asking for help is seen as strength—not weakness. 💙

If you’re in immediate crisis in the U.S., you can call or text 988 for support.

You are standing at the edge of your future, Napoleon Hill taught that imagination is not fantasy — it is a faculty of creation. In Think and Grow Rich, he wrote, “The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans created by man.” Hill distinguished between synthetic imagination (rearranging what you already know) and creative imagination (tuning into new ideas, insight, and inspiration). In a college setting, this means your degree alone does not determine your future — your ability to envision possibilities beyond the syllabus does. Every innovation, business, research breakthrough, and social movement began as a thought rehearsed in someone’s inner workshop. When you deliberately picture the career you want, the impact you want to make, and the person you are becoming, you are activating the brain’s reticular activating system and goal-directed neural networks, priming yourself to notice opportunities aligned with that vision. Hill’s message is heavy-hitting: if you don’t consciously use your imagination to design your future, someone else’s plans will recruit you into theirs.

Grounding is the practice of bringing your awareness back into the present moment and into your body, especially during stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. When we ground, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system, signaling safety to the brain and reducing fight-or-flight reactivity. This helps regulate emotions, improve focus, and restore a sense of stability and control. Whether through slow breathing, noticing physical sensations, or connecting with nature, grounding strengthens nervous system resilience and creates a foundation for clear thinking, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

👀 Sensory Grounding/
Texture Anchoring

👉 Touch something textured near you
(backpack strap, notebook cover, hoodie fabric, desk surface)

👉 silently describe:
• Temperature
• Texture
• Pressure in your fingers

This helps pull your brain out of mental overload and back into body awareness — which stabilizes attention and emotional regulation.
