Thank you to Volusia County Fire Rescue and the Daytona Beach Fire Department for another successful Holiday Rappel this year!

Every year, firefighters from Volusia County and Daytona Beach use our Fountain Tower as a training exercise to practice their rappel skills - spreading joy for our patients along the way 🎅

Please join us in congratulating the December 2025 Team Member of the Month, Samantha Phillips, Physician Recruiter & HR Representative, Human Resources!

Sam has been a Halifax Health Team Member since 2021. She is responsible for facilitating physician recruitment activities for all specialties of Halifax Health, including our UF Health partnership. Sam has great customer service skills and works hard to ensure our physician candidates have the best interview experience. She is also responsible for organizing all Employee Recognition events, spreading joy across the organization. You can tell that Sam enjoys her job and cares about our Team Members.

Sam is professional, organized, and pays close attention to detail. She is prompt, timely, and efficient. Sam always gives 110% and exceeds expectations. She is friendly, easy to get along with, and is an overall genuine person. Sam is a dedicated Team Member and understands our mission. She is mindful of what our organization does for our community and is proud to be a part of the Halifam.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Katelyn Joubert to Halifax Health - Ophthalmology!

Katelyn Joubert, DO, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery. She completed her fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, following an ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident, and a preliminary year in internal medicine at LSU in Lafayette. Dr. Joubert earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, graduating summa cm laude.
