With this transition comes MyChart, your new all‑in‑one health app. Get test results on your phone, message your care team, schedule visits, request prescription refills, and access your health record in one secure place!

Basheer Elsolh, MD, MPH, FRCSC, is a board-certified surgical oncologist with UF Health Surgical Specialists at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, specializing in the surgical management of breast cancer, gastrointestinal and colorectal cancers, melanoma, and soft tissue sarcoma. He is experienced in both open and minimally invasive abdominal surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches.

Please join us in congratulating the January 2026 Team Member of the Month, Kya Williams, Senior Compliance Associate, Corporate Compliance!

Kya has been a Halifax Health Team Member since 2022. Her primary job responsibilities include performing routine EMR access auditing, ensuring HIPAA compliance, sanction checking, maintaining policies, and conducting special audits of contracts and payments. Additionally, her role requires tedious attention to detail and can involve manual review of documents and physical inspections. She quickly addresses concerns and has formed a close relationship with Human Resources and IT Security to resolve issues. Kya helps Team Members work through day-to-day matters when they call for advice, while also identifying any broader potential issues.

Kya is thoughtful in her actions and known for being compassionate, ethical, and dependable. She’s highly respected throughout the organization and always looking to exceed expectations by selflessly serving her peers. Kya maintains loyalty, determination, and unwavering dedication in order to deliver meaningful outcomes. Her work ethic is an inspiration and an honorable trait that contributes to the success of the Corporate Compliance department and Halifax Health.
