Food for thought 💭

Autumn may bring colorful leaves and crisp air, but some seasonal plants can be dangerous for your horse. Keep an eye out for:
⚠️ Acorns & Oak Leaves – can cause colic and kidney issues
⚠️ Red Maple Leaves – even wilted leaves are toxic
⚠️ Yew – highly poisonous in any amount
⚠️ Black Walnut – can trigger laminitis exposure and or ingestion

As pasture availability decreases, horses may nibble on things they normally wouldn’t. Inspect pastures and fence lines to help your horse enjoy a safe, healthy fall. 🐴❤️
