The CT Technologist will perform Computed Tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The CT Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Responsibilities for CT Technologist:
-Prepare patients for CT procedures. Es**rt patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be imaged.
-Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.
-Operate CT equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
-Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
-Placing and removing IV catheters for CT procedures.
-Ensure CT equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunction to Director.

Qualifications for CT Technologist:
-Graduate of a Radiology/Medical Imaging school
-Current/Valid registration or certification in medical radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
-Current/Valid Licensure in medical radiography by the State of Arkansas
-1-2 years' experience in health care operations
-Current BLS certification required

Secondary Functions: All other duties assigned by Radiology Director
