It's been one year ago today since I introduced my business to the world! I haven't been as active on social media lately, but that's just because I've been busy doing this work that I love. I've been beyond blessed this year with incredible support from my friends and family, who have helped make this dream a reality. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has encouraged me along the way! I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for Kairos Counseling and Wellness!

Great news, Kairos Counseling and Wellness is now able to accept clients with all types of Aetna insurance coverage!! I haven't stopped working to get paneled with insurance companies, because I believe that mental health treatment should be easily accessible to everyone!

It's officially Mental Health Awareness Month! With 1 in 4 people suffering from a mental health condition, now is a great time to check in on your friends and family, because you never know who may be suffering in silence. Remember, it's okay to talk about your mental health this month, next month, and every month.

Wether that's improved relationships, self care, physical health, mental health, etc. Progress is not linear and the path is not always straight, but you always have the choice to begin again!

Today is World Storytelling Day!
Did you know that storytelling is a great way for children to calm big emotions by making sense of them AND to integrate their implicit and explicit memories?
And in adults, recent research on narrative therapy has shown that those who are able to organize the story of their lives into a coherent narrative are more likely to find hope and peace, have increased resilience, and re-affirm their values!
So on today, the first day of spring and world storytelling day, I hope you'll have the courage to step fully into the story of who you are and what makes YOU so unique!
