We empower women to choose life by providing free ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, and parenting classes.

We believe that education is the backbone of empowerment and that material resources, counseling, and community create the support network that allows our clients to thrive and be successful parents.

Breaking news! The next step in the process of receiving our NEW ultrasound machine is complete!

We recently received a matching grant provided by the Knight's of Columbus Supreme Council as well as state and local council funding to finish off the fundraising arm of this endeavor.

Earlier this year, the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus reached out to us randomly by email looking for pregnancy resource centers in need of a new ultrasound machine.

They were offering, through various levels of Knights organizations, to cover 100% of the cost of a new machine. This was a Godsend for us as our machine was nearing the end of its life and we were not sure how we would be able to replace it.

We are feeling truly blessed to be the recipients of such a valuable, life-affirming gift. Over 112 ultrasound machines have been donated to pregnancy resource centers through the state councils in Michigan!

We need your prayers for the pregnant women that walk through our doors feeling lost and hopeless, the women who are trying to keep their families together despite overwhelming odds while facing a new pregnancy, and the countless other hardships that our clients experience as part of their daily lives.

Please consider joining our intercessory prayer team to collectively gather our prayers and unite as we face the challenges of the continual opposition to the sanctity of life.

Did you know that your mouth makes around 25,000 gallons of saliva in a lifetime? You could fill an Olympic sized swimming pool with all that saliva!

But seriously, there is more to saliva than just drool. When too much sugar interacts with the bacteria in your mouth, it creates acid.

Saliva can wash away food sugars that are trying to break down your teeth. Not only that, saliva contains tons of minerals that help make the tooth surface strong to fight off cavities.

Some people experience excessively dry mouth, also known as xerostomia. This condition can be caused by medications, smoking and more.

Without saliva around to do its job, cavities can run rampant. Think twice the next time you spit that precious saliva out of your mouth.

“Every day, our Option Line staff speak with callers who say they told their partner, parent, or friend about their pregnancy, only to be met with a recommendation that they abort their baby. To these women, this translates to, ‘You're not good enough to be a mom,’ regardless of how they felt when they saw their pregnancy test results.”

But we don't leave her to face them alone,” Option Line Director Nafisa Kennedy said. “We connect her with a safety net through her local pregnancy help organization.”

Option Line has been managed by Heartbeat International, the largest network of pregnancy help organizations in the U.S. and globally, since 2012. The Lennon Center is an active member of Heartbeat International.

This helpline has connected more than 9 million women to pregnancy help since opening in 2003.

Today, Option Line connects more than 5,600 people to more than 3,000 pregnancy help organizations worldwide each day!

This equates to connecting women and families in need to pregnancy help every 15 seconds around the clock.

“Option Line offers compassionate support through real human beings who care deeply about the women we serve," Kennedy said.

“We empower our callers with hope for a future and knowledge that they don't have to face it alone.”

Our 11am parenting classes are cancelled again today due to the weather!

TLC clients, please note that our office follows the Dearborn Public Schools for weather closures. If the Dearborn school system closes, our office will be closed as well.

There will be no in-person or virtual class today or material assistance. We will reopen on Tuesday, February 3rd with our regular business hours of 9am to 3pm.

The right to life is a human right. The defense of that right is a joyful witness to the beauty and dignity of every human person.

In support of this fact, the March for Life in Washington, D.C. will be taking place today Friday, January 23rd at 1pm to celebrate the sanctity of human life.

The March for Life is an inspiring, peaceful, vibrant, and joy-filled rally of women, men, young people, and children from all across the country.

Every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge on the National Mall and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in all 50 states.

It’s the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. But this is not just a protest… TOGETHER, WE GATHER TO CELEBRATE LIFE.

Thank you to the Dr. Thomas Dooley Knights of Columbus Council out of St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia for running a baby bottle drive that raised $4,000 for The Lennon Center!

Wondering what a baby bottle drive is? A baby bottle drive involves a staff member from The Lennon Center going to your church or organization and presenting information to them on the services that we provide to the metro Detroit community.

We leave TLC baby bottles that members are then able to take home and bring back filled with coins, cash, check or a digital donation.
