We use the latest technology to test our patients at Akler Eye Center. Here is Michelle showing the device. No more leaning into awkward machines! This test is comfortable, quick and accurate and the vast majority of our patients prefer it to the older visual field machines.

We are very proud of the Kenya Relief team, which at the close of 2023 went on their regular ophthalmology surgical mission. In just three days they have seen 500 patients and performed over 100 sight-saving cataract surgeries. Dr Michelle Akler from the Akler Eye Center in the USA, shared a remarkable moment: "When examining cataract postoperative patients on the final day, there was one elderly woman who could not see to walk to the examination chair. We removed the patch from her surgical eye and she immediately was able to see well enough to make her way to the chair unassisted." We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to the entire Kenya Relief team, and it’s an honor for us to support these missions by providing VisionBlue® trypan blue stain for anterior use. Together we help more patients see again!
