LAHC is proud to partner with the Karmanos Cancer Institute to host a special Colorectal Cancer Awareness Community Health Presentation!

We are honored to welcome Dr. Najwa Al-Nachef, GI Specialist, as our guest speaker. Dr. Al-Nachef will provide culturally relevant education in both Arabic and English, and answer questions about:

✔️ Colorectal cancer screening
✔️ Prevention and early detection
✔️ Common myths and misconceptions
🍽 Refreshments will be served.

This is an important opportunity for our community to learn, connect, and stay informed. All are welcome!

This milestone marks the start of a transformational space that will equip thousands with career training, education, and opportunity. We had an incredible turnout at our Community Baby Shower, co-hosted with the Wayne County Health Department! 💕 Over 120 community members joined us for a day filled with education, resources, and connection.

🤝 More than 25 community partners and vendors came together to share valuable information, services, and giveaways — helping expectant and new parents access the support they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success! Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier community for our moms, babies, and families. 💗
