International Women’s Day. Where do we even begin, here?

To start, let us share that almost every call that comes in from a parent wanting help for their child is a call from a mother. A woman. Being a parent in general is difficult. But being an autism parent comes with its own additional set of challenges. We typically see women wearing the bulk of that mental load. So we are beyond grateful for the women in the lives of the children we serve. 💖👩‍👦🚺

Secondly, autistic women are often underdiagnosed, with as many as 80% of autistic females being undiagnosed at the age of 18. That number needs to change. 🌈♾️

Clinicians working in ABA are overwhelmingly women. 👩‍🔬👩🏽‍🏫👩🏻‍💻

Lastly, A Path Forward is Woman-Owned, and we love any excuse to celebrate women. 💪
