I used to be a stay at home mom. Which really meant I was on the road most of the time driving my 3 kids to various appointments all day and trying to juggle laundry, cleaning house, and cooking too. I usually had some side gig going too so I felt like I was contributing financially. It wasn’t required but it helped us afford to do some extra things that didn’t fit our budget. I made custom cakes for birthdays and weddings. I sold homemade bread. I taught preschool for a few years until we started homeschooling our youngest. Now they are all grown and I spend my days alone, dreaming up the beautiful gardens. I have two new garden projects underway and I can’t wait to share them with y’all soon! You don’t want to miss it!

My mind was blown when I saw someone making fried potatoes from CANNED potatoes. My husband loves home fried potatoes but they take so long to cut up and cook that I rarely made them until I discovered this amazing dinner hack! Drain those cubed canned potatoes and put them in a big ziplock bag with one cup of self rising flour + 1 tsp of garlic salt and 1 tsp ground pepper. I add a whole cubed onion too. Shake it to coat the onions and potatoes. Fry in one inch of hot vegetable oil over medium high heat after the oil gets hot. Resist the urge to flip until the potatoes are browned, then flip them all to brown the other side. It just takes 5-10 minutes to cook these. Salt to taste. So delicious with summer sausage and bell peppers. So easy and so good!

One of my favorite memories from 2025 tulip season was a day when we were a little less crowded and a family came with their elderly mother. She needed a ride to the field in our golf cart so I rode her down to the field and was blessed to spend the next 30 minutes talking to her about the goodness of God. We shared stories of how God has helped us in our lives. It blessed my soul sitting there with her. I love it when people bring their mom or grandma to see our tulip farm. The tulip farm is more than just flowers! It’s these moments when the presence of the Lord visits us in the field💗

Thankful that Spring is coming soon! Can’t wait to see 50,000 tulips blooming on the farm again! No two seasons have been the same so I’m excited to see what this season brings! With our new elopement packages and our new air b&b open, it will surely be a fun filled Tulip season!
