This one made me cry so I had to share it. I love these BIG lessons God reveals in the garden. Sharing from a fellow flower farmer in NC: “Well guys… I almost went digging.
I’ve been walking those tulip rows at the garden every single day — hands in my pockets, trying to act patient — but quietly wondering if I had just planted 500 dud bulbs.
I even asked my husband if I should dig one up “just to see.” Bless that man… he gently talked me out of my foolishness.
And then yesterday, there they were.
Tiny green leaves pushing up through cold soil and pine straw like little declarations:
“We were here all along.”
It made me think about how quickly we doubt what’s happening beneath the surface.
Just because you don’t see growth doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
Just because something hasn’t broken through yet doesn’t mean it’s dead.
Just because you feel small doesn’t mean you’re powerless.
Those bulbs have been working underground this whole time — rooting, strengthening, preparing.
And maybe you have too.
Sometimes the enemy doesn’t have to defeat us. He just has to convince us that we’re forgotten ….ineffective… unseen… unnecessary.
But the moment you believe your voice doesn’t matter, your choices don’t count, or your presence makes no difference — you hand away authority God already placed inside you.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7
Power doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes it looks like a green shoot pushing through hard ground.
Sometimes it looks like restraint — not digging up what God is still growing.
Sometimes it looks like quiet faith.
Tulips are coming soon.
And if God can bring color out of a buried bulb, He can bring purpose out of whatever season you’re standing in.” By Stillwater Flower Farm NC
