Thursday Therapy Thoughts

It’s easy to assume that whatever shows up on an MRI must be the reason you hurt, but research shows many spine findings like disc bulges and degeneration are very common in people with no symptoms at all, which is why imaging works best when combined with your symptoms and a physical exam. A physical therapist can help guide you. Source: Systematic review, Spine journal (Brinjikji et al., 2015).

January is National Hobby Month, and to celebrate, Pelvis Presley wants to demonstrate some recovery exercises he does after his hobby: Pickleball!

Pelvis Presley will be at the Priceville Event Center on January 29th with LifeWork to address shoulder injuries and how to maintain mobility, a hot topic amongst pickleballers!

🩻Pulley
The pulley is used for range of motion and is used after surgery to regain mobility.

🩻Resistance Band
Resistance bands are used for a variety of purposes, including shoulder strengthening.
