Please join us in congratulating Kathy Moore, RN, on her retirement!

Kathy began her journey at our facility in Labor & Delivery in 1998 and most recently served as our House Supervisor, leading with strength, compassion, and excellence every step of the way. Her dedication to our patients, families, and staff has left a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.

Kathy’s kindness, steady leadership and heart for others have made her truly one of a kind. While we will greatly miss her, we are so excited for this next chapter as she enjoys more time with her family and helps her husband train hunting dogs.

Thank you, Kathy, for your years of service and the incredible difference you’ve made. Wishing you a retirement filled with joy and adventure! 🎉

But when drags on for days, disrupts work or school or makes everyday life feel overwhelming, it could be your body’s way of saying that something more is going on. This is especially true if you’re also dealing with heavy bleeding, nausea or worsening pain.

Every birth story is unique.🤰 For some moms, it may involve cesarean delivery, also known as a C-section. Doctors perform this major abdominal surgery for a variety of reasons, often related to complications during pregnancy or delivery. If you’re expecting a baby, it’s important to understand the risks and benefits of the procedure. For example, having a C-section increases the chance that you will need a C-section for future deliveries.

Each year, more than 200,000 babies are born in hospitals across our broader HCA Healthcare network. If you’re expecting and exploring your birth options – including when a C section might be recommended – finding the right obstetrician is an important first step. As a proud partner of March of Dimes, HCA Healthcare is committed to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through clinical data, pioneering research and compassionate care. Learn more about C-sections from March of Dimes: https://bit.ly/4aNsrvM
