🚜 Community Heroes at Decatur Medical Lodge! 🚜
​We want to send a massive THANK YOU to some incredible people who went above and beyond for our residents and staff today!
​A huge shoutout to the owner of Pet Health Center here in Decatur and her family. They didn’t just show up; they brought their own equipment and volunteered their time to help us clear out our parking lot. Because of their generosity, our employees and families now have a much safer place to park. It is neighbors like you who make our community so special! 🐾❤️
​We also have to give a hand to our Administrator, John. Not only is he a great leader, but he’s now a pro heavy equipment operator! He learned how to drive a skid steer in about 3.7 minutes flat, talk about doing whatever it takes to get the job done! 💨🏗️ And our hard working Maintenance Director Ted!
​Thank you all for looking out for our safety and keeping our spirits high. We are so grateful!

We’re sad to miss our game tomorrow, but your safety is our top priority. Because of the slippery roads, tomorrow's Community Bingo is officially canceled.
Take this as a sign to grab a blanket and some hot cocoa. We’ll be back to shouting "BINGO!" together in February!

Leadership in Action: Going Above and Beyond! ❤️🏠

​With a winter storm/inclement weather heading our way this weekend, we wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on our incredible Administrator, John. 🌟

​John has spent the day tirelessly coordinating hotel accommodations and food for our dedicated team members so they can stay safe and close to the facility. Because of his quick thinking and care, our staff won't have to risk dangerous road conditions, and most importantly our residents will continue to receive the seamless, high quality care they deserve.

​John, thank you for being "simply the best" and for always putting the safety of our staff and the well being of our residents first. We are so lucky to have you at the helm! 🛡️💼

Honoring Our Heroes at Decatur Medical Lodge 🎖️

​At Decatur Medical Lodge, we don't just care for heroes, we work alongside them! We are proud to host our Monthly VA Mixer on the First Friday of every month at 2:00 PM.
​This is a special time for our Veteran staff and local Vets to connect, share stories, and enjoy some food and fellowship. It’s our small way of saying "Thank You" for your service and for being a vital part of our Decatur family. 🤝🇺🇸

🌈 Adding a Little Color to the World, One Rock at a Time 🌈

​There’s something so therapeutic about a fresh coat of paint! Our residents spent the afternoon creating beautiful hand-painted rocks to share with visitors and friends.

👑 A Royal Game of Bingo! 👑
​We had a very special guest at Decatur Medical Lodge today! A huge thank you to Breanna Smith, Mrs. Texas, for spending her afternoon with our residents and helping us host a fantastic round of Bingo.
​The room was full of smiles, and our residents loved having a local queen in the house! Thank you, Breanna, for your kindness, your grace, and for making today so memorable for everyone here. You are a true gem in our community! ❤️
