Do you know what makes Hospice of the Valley different from the rest?
Because we are the only nonprofit hospice serving the community since 1985, we offer goodwill services that include educational resources, short-term grief counseling sessions, and ongoing support groups for anyone in need. We offer peer support groups for children, adolescents, and adults. Bereavement support is also available for schools, businesses, churches, and other organizations struggling with unexpected or traumatic loss. For more information, HOTV at (256) 350-5585.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy's 3rd grade class, Ms. Melanie White, and Ms. Lynda Hanvy, for assembling 100 Valentine goodie bags for our patients and their families.
Earlier in January, HOTV’s Children’s Bereavement Coordinator, Brandy Strickland, had the opportunity to visit with their class to share about hospice care, how we serve our patients, and ways to navigate grief in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.
We are so grateful for this thoughtful act of kindness and for the compassion these students have shown to the families we serve.

WE ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!
Our Valentine’s Day Basket Fundraiser was a tremendous success, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who purchased a basket, as well as to our dedicated volunteers and exceptional staff who made this possible.
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser directly support Hospice of the Valley’s Goodwill Services, which are provided free of charge to our community. We are honored to be the only nonprofit hospice serving Morgan and Lawrence Counties, and we remain committed to caring for our neighbors with compassion and dignity.
