Gearing up for another amazing Ramadan...InshaAllah.
I have kitchen cleaning on the brain. Checkout these great cleaning tips.
Oven Cleaning Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of your electric or gas oven first. A simple homemade oven cleaner is a mix of baking soda and vinegar. Use a generous amount of baking soda sprinkled over the oven and spray with vinegar. Let sit for a few hours then wipe off using a damp sponge. For glass oven door cleaning, use a damp microfiber cloth to avoid scratches.
Kitchen floors are usually swept daily, but do a deep cleaning for Ramadan. Use warm water and liquid soap to scrub the floors. Murphy's Liquid soap smells great and gets the job done. Remember to rinse and allow the floors to dry to avoid slipping.
Stainless steel appliances Whether your refrigerator, stove, microwave or other appliances are stainless steel, what's the best way to clean them? With dish soap and water using a non-abrasive microfiber cloth. You can also use glass cleaners for stainless steel appliances.
Microwave cleaning With heating and reheating of food daily, the microwave may also need some attention. There's nothing fun about caked on foods and the aromas of reheated food. Microwave a cup of hot water and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar. Wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth to remove food splatters.
Kitchen Cupboards, fridge and freezer! Before cleaning, declutter and organize the cabinets, fridge and freezer. Throw out expired and other foods you're not using and keep the ones you'll use during Ramadan. Organize the spices, sauces, ingredients, frozen foods.
Kitchen Sink: During your pre Ramadan cleaning session, clean and prep your sink too. Use baking soda to clean stainless steel sinks. Also love tips from and for getting and keeping it simply organized.
