After losing a loved one, you need caring and compassionate people around you every step of the way. Reverend Gary Rolen, Funeral Assistant, works hard to make sure that your every need is met.

A native of Meigs County, Gary attends many funeral and memorial services, making himself available with kindness and attentiveness. You can count on him to bring attentive care to your loved one's service.

After retiring from his former position at Shaw Industries, he became a bus driver for Meigs County Schools. He is happily married to Darlene, and they have two wonderful children.

Imogene Trusley Rinehart, age 86, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Imogene dedicated many years of her life to her profession as a carrier for the Daily Post Athenian, where her commitment and diligence were evident in her work. Outside of her career, she found joy in various activities, including bowling with her team and passionately supporting the Tennessee Volunteers in both football and basketball. Imogene cherished the simple pleasures of life, such as feeding ducks, playing with her beloved animals, and working in her flower garden. However, her greatest joy resided in the roles of mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Rinehart; daughter, Mary Jane Roberts; son-in-law, JC Ricker; siblings, Billy Trusley, Jerry Lee Trusley, Elizabeth Ann Lankford, Katherine Ann Trusley.

She is survived by her children, Glenda Rinehart, Brenda Ricker, Tim (Ruth) Ricker; son-in-law, Dwight Roberts; brother, Jimmy Brown; grandchildren, Kaylee Bishop, Peyton Bishop, Maleah McDowell, Toby (Teresa) Ricker, Brandon (Donna) Ricker, Cody Ricker, Angela Roberts (Boston Everett); 10 great-grandchildren, several great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Mike Jones officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in the Ingle Cemetery (Calico Rd, Decatur). Peyton Bishop, Kaylee Bishop, Joey Bishop, Boston Everett, Toby Ricker, Austin Monday will be serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m., prior to the service on Tuesday.

Vickey Jane Bates

Vickey Jane Bates, age 68, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2026.

Vickey was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Campbell; parents, Myra and Oakley Fletcher.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ricky Bates; children, Karlos Ater, Selena Campbell, Christopher Behrens, Jack Behrens, and Krys Behrens. Her children were her pride and joy, along with being a devoted grandmother to all her grandchildren. Her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, whom she adored and treasured. Vicky leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and faith that will continue to live in all who loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 p.m., prior to the service.
