๐ซ Letโs talk about piriformis!
A client recently asked what piriformis was attached to. And I explained while touching their body in the places it attached (sacrum and greater trochanter). Afterward, I realized my explanation was painted with a large brush and Iโd forgotten the specifics.
Because clientโs donโt usually ask about piriformis, they ask about whether their pain is sciatica or nerve pain or if they have a dead butt. They talk about how their body is experiencing the pain or dysfunction. Iโm ready for those conversations, but to explain the specifics of exact attachments is better suited to the classroom.
So join me for a piriformis attachments and actions refresher!
Sometimes you discover something in the books that informs or changes the way you work with a particular muscle you thought you knew. ๐ช๐ฝ
