Sometime you never see how you begin to associate your home with being a “chore” when you are constantly working to make it comfortable and functional at the same time; so much so, that you unintentionally program in your body that, you MUST do something before you can “reward” yourself with rest.

Rest and resetting is not a “reward”, it is a requirement. It is what supports us in integrating the work we do daily for embodying the versions of ourselves we are coming into. So, be kind to yourself. Know that you deserve to rest, and there is always a safe place available when you need to do so.

Sometime, the best rest and reset you get, is when you intentionally choose nothingness. No planning. No organizing. No overthinking. Just stillness and what it has to offer. You ever sat still and decided to not even meditate in that moment? Just nothing. I’ve tried it. And as a person who actively meditates, it was a different type of lightness I experienced.
