I mean, I felt a little guilty not doing a Provera bleed, but as I expected, bringing some alignment into body and spirit restores me**es.

Amongst other things, I used Cycle Harmony by Wishgarden for this case.

Now we awaken through embodiment and wombwork the next layers of healing.

Women’s bodies are so beautiful how they respond.

I told my supervising physician from the get go… you probably won’t hear from me much about needing prescriptions.

I didn’t understand the power of a midwife’s work until I started testing the boundaries of my work, and it’s really beautiful, IMO woowoo opinion. 😌
I think what’s needed is for us to remember what was been whitewashed out of us. It’s in there.
Inner knowing.
My work is getting deeper and I hope yours is too.
I want people to say about me, “Hold the scalpal, Crystal’s coming in”
and I’d love to ❤️ nurture a generation of birthworkers with intuitive skills.

Well there we have it.

Repost- Midwives were the last carriers of embodied theology.
Birth was once a spiritual initiation, not a medical event.

Before belief lived in books, it lived in bodies.
In breath. In blood. In timing. In women who knew how to hold thresholds between worlds.

Birth was once a rite of passage for the mother, the child, and the lineage itself.
Not something to be managed or rushed, but something to be witnessed.

When birth was removed from women’s hands,
it wasn’t just about safety or progress.
It was about authority.
About who gets to decide how life enters the world.

This wisdom didn’t disappear.
It went quiet.
It lives on in the feeling that something sacred was lost
and in the bodies of women who sense there is more.

There’s so much to go through in naturopathic clinical assessments … I ran out of room. There’s not even an iridology section 😭…

Today we remember the work of Martin Luther King Jr. Born at home, not far from where I live, MLK started life in a quiet and loving environment. He was spoken to from the womb by spiritual parents as if his soul mattered and could be an important person in this world. His birth was peaceful and welcomed him into the world in a traditional way- homebirth.

I'm a midwife and I believe it a million times over that the spirit of a baby asks for love, energy, safety, gentleness and the feeling of there being hope for him/herself. And I've seen black babies disproportionately told they are "difficult, stubborn or fiesty" and the sacred space of that birth rushed through with "just another birth" energy by family, nurses, doctors, midwives. Don't even get me started on TVs being on.

Nope, not just another birth.

In the womb and at birth nervous systems are very impactfully wired for safety, love, abundance, softness, joy.
The pause that is meant to be at birth is sacred. It's there you start healing the pain of generations.

If there are portals, then I guarantee they are open for deep transformative generational stuff at birth.

We can start here. A peaceful protest to the world that even though you've painted over the words on the street outside the white house, black lives matter, and we'll start with the babies.

2026 is calling me to teach some deep stuff, and I'm really excited about it, because 20 years of midwifing has shown me a lot of patterns of the journey of birthing, it's natural ease and it's "stuck states."

For the woman who will be birthing, opening up these innate patterns in the body, and releasing into the energetic and spiritual flow AHEAD of birth by embodying these things will allow more ease in the birth journey.

And as birthworkers, we have so much opportunity to support women when we recognize where she can't flow and we step in as her support in that phase. I have so many tips for you too!

In 2025 I finished a long and deep program through the School of Embodied Arts... and it helped my see even more what is going on... and how to help women embody the flow, receive support, relax into inner peace. The BODY is really important for birthing and the layers underneath, in our emotions, fears, & sense of safety guide the body! That's why this is called Embodied Birthing.

So beautiful pregnant women and birth workers, join me on this beautiful journey of going deeper in the interconnected BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT.

Dates & times on website... hoping to find another location for some north atlanta classes too. The classes focus on practicing labor... they don't replace childbirth education classes.

Can we talk now about what is truly under the childbirth complications for black women like Dr.Janell Smith-Green, a midwife who recently died, since it's confirmed it was pre-eclampia and postpartum cesarean wound complications?
Per science, pre-eclampsia is inflammation, vascular dysfunction, organ shutdown, bleeding disorders. Maybe Janell also suffered cardiomyopathy. IT DOES NOT MATTER. They are all end results of dysfunction in the physical body.
Under the layers of what happens physically in a BODY are the layers of what happens emotionally. The SOUL and SPIRT are the drivers of our body, our behavior, our eating, our activity, our wellbeing, & PREGNANCY OUTCOMES
You can have a beautiful life, career and wonderful medical care, but still your life is impacted by generational stress and trauma.
We don't know Janell's inner story, but can we ACKNOWLEDGE that oppressive things need broken in the lineage of black women and that Janell had a mission as a midwife to empower women, for a reason.
I'm not dismissing if there was negligence or racism.
BUT COME BACK TO WHAT JANELL WANTED IN LIFE. It was about women and babies at birth.
We have the opportunity to HEAL generations in the portal of birth . I know this as a midwife because I have heard this testimony many times. WE NEED TO CHANGE BIRTH FOR BLACK BABIES.
LET's speak to the black babies from womb to birth and beyond about their perfection, beauty, how the world wants them here and is safe for them. Don't rush moments after birth. Don't talk loud. Don't rub them down aggressively. Don't call them stubborn. You will change their future health and risk factors this way. Janelle was onto something, as midwives always have been, and it's what we need to focus on.
CARDIOMETABOLIC conditions are rooted in HEART level things, and it's trauma is carried through generations until OUR LOVE breaks it. This we can do. Babies are so sensitive to how they are treated. It's so easy to access the spirit of a newborn. START WITH THE BABIES. And imagine how you'd EMPOWER A MOTHER by treating her like she carried the most precious world-changing new soul in there.

Breech babies have been finding their way to me this past year. I've helped 13 turn; 2 in the past week.

In the quiet sanctuary of my clinic room, I welcomed two moms into my safe space, a room of a midwife with great faith in her role helping babies. They handed over their great fear and sorrow of planned cesareans and allowed me to do my work, connecting with their body, the spirit realm and the baby.

Both moms were over 37 weeks pregnant.

Tensions were resolved. Words that spoke to the soul were discovered through intuition and cut right to what they needed to hear. Babies were talked to in the way the spirit of that baby needed to receive words. Ligaments were released, diaphragms opened, uterus’ aligned.

In this level of connection, a midwife feels rhythm needed and sends them through the mother’s body, rocking the spine, the hips, the uterus.

She holds her hand lightly but firmly on the body, then the baby, energetically restoring balance. Mother sighs, everything relaxes, babies move.

It could be magic, or it could be midwifery.

deeply believing that function can be restored, and is meant to be restored, is the magic

---note for the curious... I don't do ECV like the hospital. Babies mostly move by their action. I do use ultrasound & NST. It's a 2hr session. It's all my own ways. Not all babies move.----

Didn’t feel a rush of energy yet?
Me either. I took a long nap today curled up in a blanket.
Excitement hits when I plan for the future, and I did plan some travel today, but then I ran across this post by and it reminded me to return to the winter energy of being inside myself.
Return to writing, inner healing, slow mornings…
January is still winter.

I watched a corny Hallmark movie with my mom, played Yahtzee with my nieces and battleship with nephews. I love playing old fashioned games!
