I am honored to be featured on the cover of People You Need to Know Business Guide Magazine — “Atlanta's Movers, Shakers, and Impact Makers.”

But this cover is not just about me. It represents every client who chose healing.

❤️Every child who played out their acting out behaviors in therapy.
❤️Every woman who reclaimed her voice.
❤️Every man who gave himself permission to be vulnerable.
❤️Every family breaking generational cycles.
❤️Every individual who decided their mental health matters.

For over 25 years, my commitment has been to empower, educate, enrich, and motivate our community to prioritize emotional wellness — not as a luxury, but as a necessity.

Healing is courageous.
Growth is intentional.
Mental health is essential.

Atlanta, let’s continue doing the work — together.

❤️ Valentine’s Day Reflection: Leading & Leaning Into Love

Today is Valentine’s Day.
For some, it’s a celebration.
For others, it’s complicated.
For some, it’s tender.
For others, it brings grief, loneliness, or reminders of difficult relationships.

Whether you are:
Coupled
Single
Healing
Grieving
Navigating challenging dynamics

Today can still be an opportunity.

An opportunity to lead and lean into love — first for yourself, and then for others.

💜 Ways to Show Love to Yourself
Speak to yourself with gentleness instead of criticism
Set a boundary without apology
Rest without guilt
Nourish your body intentionally
Forgive yourself for something you’ve been holding
Celebrate how far you’ve come
Self-love is not selfish. It is stabilizing.

🤍 Ways to Show Love to Others
Offer encouragement
Check in on someone who may be grieving
Express appreciation directly
Extend patience in difficult conversations
Practice compassion, even when it’s challenging
Love is not limited to romance.
It is expressed in presence, intention, and care.

🌿 If Today Feels Heavy
It’s okay if love feels hard.
It’s okay if your heart feels tender.
It’s okay if you are rebuilding your relationship with yourself.

Radical self-love is not about perfection.
It is about choosing — again and again — to respond to yourself with care.
Today, may you:
Acknowledge where you are
Become aware of what you need
Accept yourself fully
Act in alignment with love

That is real Valentine’s Day work.

Healing is a journey. Dial 988 if in crisis.

Preparing for a Therapy Session 🛋️✨
Two perspectives. One shared goal: healing.

From a Therapist’s POV:
• Providing a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space
• Engaging intentionally by asking thoughtful questions and clarifying what’s being shared
• Being fully present and helping identify core concerns beneath the surface
• Challenging clients with care to support growth and accountability
• Monitoring my own emotional capacity while honoring the client’s lived experience

From a Client’s POV:
• Being willing to show up vulnerable, even when it feels uncomfortable
• Bringing a notebook to track insights, reflections, or breakthroughs
• Being honest about concerns, thoughts, and feelings—without filtering
• Actively doing the therapeutic work inside and outside of session
• Practicing self-compassion and grace throughout the healing process

✨ Therapy works best when both therapist and client are prepared, present, and committed. Healing is a partnership.

New Year’s resolutions aren’t just for January.
Starting over doesn’t only happen at the beginning of the year. Every day—every moment—is an opportunity to begin again, to realign, and to move toward what you want. Growth is not bound by a calendar.

Here are 5 steps to help you start—anytime:

💚Get Clear on Your “Why”
Before taking action, identify why this goal matters to you. A meaningful purpose fuels consistency, especially when motivation fades.

💚Start Small and Realistic
Progress doesn’t require a big leap. Choose one small, manageable action you can take today. Small steps build momentum and confidence.

💚Release Perfectionism
You don’t need the perfect plan, timing, or energy level. Starting imperfectly is better than waiting indefinitely.

💚Create Gentle Structure
Set simple routines or reminders that support your goal without overwhelming you. Structure should support your life—not control it.

💚Practice Self-Compassion and Reflection
Check in with yourself regularly. Celebrate effort, learn from setbacks, and adjust as needed. Growth is a process, not a performance.

Happy New Year ESTEEM Family,

As we enter into 2026, we do so with intention—continuing the therapeutic work that allows us to feel just a bit lighter. Lighter in our thoughts, lighter in our hearts, and lighter in how we carry what life places before us.

Mental health work is not about avoiding challenges. We will still face loss, hardship, pain, disappointment, and hurt. However, therapy and intentional self-work help us move through these experiences with greater compassion, grace, wisdom, love, and joy—both for ourselves and for others.

At ESTEEM Counseling and Consulting Services, we remain committed to walking alongside you and our community as you navigate your mental health journey. We are here to provide support through therapeutic services, practical tools, coping strategies, education, tips, and trusted resources to help you build emotional resilience and wellness.

As we move through 2026 together, we encourage you to continue prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, listening to your inner voice, and honoring your emotional needs. Your mental health matters—every day, not just in moments of crisis.

Thank you for trusting ESTEEM Counseling to be part of your journey. We look forward to supporting you throughout the year ahead.

With compassion and care,

Happy Holidays, ESTEEMERs,
At ESTEEM Counseling, we are all about mental health and wellness—and this holiday season is about the powerful combination of the Big Gs: Gratitude and Giving.

Gratitude invites us to be thankful for today, for the present—because the present truly is a gift. Each day is an opportunity to experience the intricacies, beauty, and unexpected moments of life. Even in the midst of joy, celebration, family gatherings, hurt, pain, and loss, we can still find gratitude—for family, for love, for connection, and for a sound mind.

The holidays are also about Giving—giving love, giving wisdom, giving our time, and giving gifts.
I am deeply grateful to be able to give my services to those who are in search of mental health support, healing, and overall wellness.
Wishing you peace, presence, and purpose this holiday season.

Happy Holidays,
Nathalie Ellis

Have you ever thought about gifting someone a mental health therapy session?

We gift massages, beauty products, clothes, and things all the time — so why not gift a service that supports healing, growth, and wellness?

The holidays can be filled with joy and pain.
They often bring heightened emotions, pressure, expectations, and reminders of loss.
For many, this season can feel lonely, overwhelming, and chaotic — even in the midst of celebration.

✨ It’s okay to not be okay.
✨ And it’s okay to get help.

As a therapist, my gift to you when you become my client is a safe, caring, non-judgmental space — a place to be vulnerable and to share life’s difficulties, hardships, pain, and trauma, as well as your joys and accomplishments.

Together, we work through it with:

Tools

Resources

Insight

Coping strategies

And therapeutic support

This season, consider giving a gift that truly lasts — the gift of healing.
