Hope you all had a Happy Halloween! Yesterday was "Frightful Day" where everyone had the option of dressing up in a costume or Halloween clothes for the day! Everyone looked awesome in their outfits! We had games available- Halloween Jeopardy, Zombie Eyeball Toss, Ghost Balloon Pop, Pumpkin Bowling, Halloween Bag Toss and more. We definitely didn't get to all the games so the fun may leak into next week 😊. There was a Halloween Scavenger Hunt and pumpkin painting and Halloween movies and music! Then for lunch we had 5 different Chili options with the choice to turn it into chili Mac. We also had hot dogs, chips & chili con queso. For drink and dessert we had Zombie or jack-o'-lantern punch and Halloween sugar cookie bars! In the afternoon we had a Halloween Dance! Lots of fun was had all day long throughout the building!

Yesterday was "Thrills & Chills" Day! We wore pajamas of all kinds, had movies available in different classes to watch and enjoyed a popcorn snack in the afternoon! Today is the Big day! "Frightful Day" come dressed in your costume and be ready to party! Games, dancing, food & fun!!!! Can't wait to see everyone in their costumes!!! Happy Halloween from all of us at A Step Forward!

Yesterday was Wicked Hat Day! We saw some awesome hats, headbands & hair accessories. They also got to enjoy a sorting hat cupcake baked by one of the staff. Each cupcake had a different color blue (Ravenclaw), red (Gryffindor), yellow (Hufflepuff) or green (Slytherin). When they bit into it, it sorted them into which house they would be in on Harry Potter! They seemed to have fun seeing what house they each got and what their friends got. Today is Thrills & Chills Day! Wear your favorite Pajamas or lounge clothes (Can be Halloween themed or just your favorite Pajamas you have)!

Last Week, our last two classes went to Black Bart's Pumpkin Patch! Some of them chose to get pumpkins, they looked through the store and at all the cool things to see at the patch! They also seemed to enjoy each other's company. It was a little chilly but they still got to enjoy some sunshine with it!

Next week October 27th-October 31st, we are celebrating "A Step Forward Halloween Spirit Week" We have different themed dress up days, all week long! We also plan to learn about the history of Halloween, have fun playing halloween games of all sorts, and do some Halloween arts/crafts! On Friday we will have our Halloween Party with a Chili Cook-Off between the classrooms, more games, dancing & even more fun! We can't wait to see everyone in their Halloween-themed wear each day!! 👻🎃
