CDD, NCA, Inc. is a non-profit United Way agency that provides supports and services for adults with disabilities across North Alabama. We currently serve 60 individuals in our residential program. Many of our individuals do not have family with whom they can spend the holidays, and many of them live on a limited fixed income. We are looking to our community to help us sponsor these individuals to ensure they have presents to open on Christmas morning.

If you're interested in sponsoring an individual, you have the option to shop their wish list yourself and drop the gifts off at our office, or you can donate money and have us shop for you. To sponsor an individual, go to the Individuals page, select the individual you'd like to sponsor, and check out. Once you checkout, you will see a download available on the Checkout Confirmation page. This download includes the individual's wish list, as well as instructions for dropping off gifts. You will also receive a link to download the wish list in the confirmation email sent to your email address.

If you would like to sponsor an individual, but would like for us to shop for you, you can donate money to go towards the purchase of Christmas gifts for an individual in our program. To donate funds, look for the item listed on the website called "Shop for Me". Add it to your cart, and then check out.

Allison Randolph, Jennifer Burns, and Lexie Romine (with CDD, NCA, Inc.) were joined today by Dr. Laura Graham (with UAH College of Nursing) in presenting a professional development course to local first responders on Navigating Differences: Understanding and Responding to Individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health Disorders. We are looking forward to a continued partnership with first responders and other government agencies to better serve and advocate for the care and support of individuals with I/DD and mental health disorders in our community.
