Congratulations to Jerrika Hill, Encore Rehabilitation–Dothan’s Patient of the Month!

Ms. Hill began physical therapy at Encore following surgery on her right knee and has been extremely pleased with her progress over the past two months. The attentive care provided by our therapists has supported her recovery both physically and mentally.

Welcome to our new Clinic Director, Logan Hammer, PT, DPT!

Logan serves as Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation–Pell City. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Samford University and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He has been with Encore Rehabilitation for three years, where he provides leadership while delivering comprehensive, patient-centered physical therapy services.

Logan treats a diverse patient population with conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, vestibular dysfunction, and complex pain management. His clinical practice also encompasses gait training, running analysis, and sports performance. He holds certification in dry needling, allowing him to incorporate advanced, evidence-based techniques to optimize patient outcomes.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Logan values time with his wife and their two dogs and maintains an active lifestyle.

Kelsey is deeply dedicated to pelvic rehabilitation and has a special passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and urinary incontinence. Her commitment to her skills means our patients receive compassionate, evidence-based care every step of the way.

We are proud to recognize Bruce Treece as our Patient of the Month! Following a Guillain-Barré Syndrome diagnosis in August, Bruce experienced a loss of all lower-extremity function. Through determination and the support of our skilled therapy team, Bruce has made remarkable progress.

Bruce worked diligently in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to regain movement, function, balance, strength and overall well-being.

Encore Rehabilitation is proud to congratulate Luke Ostergaard, OTR/L, CEAS, Cert. DN — now officially a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)!

The CHT credential represents one of the highest levels of specialization in upper extremity rehabilitation. To become a CHT, therapists must complete extensive clinical experience in treating the hand and upper extremity (4,000+ hours) and pass a rigorous national board examination. This certification demonstrates advanced expertise in complex injuries and post-surgical care of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

About Luke:
Luke Ostergaard serves as the Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation–Brookley Field and as an Occupational Therapist at Encore Rehabilitation–West Mobile. His specialties include upper extremity rehabilitation, hand therapy, industrial/workers’ compensation rehabilitation, ergonomic assessment, and dry needling.

A dual graduate of the University of South Alabama, Luke holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy.
