Their creativity truly shone as they crafted these beautiful clay flower masterpieces. The activity provided a wonderful opportunity for social connection, and everyone took great pride in their work.

Through interactive programs, community-created moments, and Charter’s Annual Spirit Week, "As Seen on TV" draws residents and team members together to laugh, reminisce, and take center stage!

From the buzz of a game show moment to the comfort of a familiar tune or commercial, March unfolds as a collection of episodes worth savoring.

This week marks our final installment of themed programming inspired by Eat, Pray, Love at Charter Senior Living of Dedham.

Today in our Flourish neighborhood, residents participated in an engaging aromatherapy class focused on exploring the therapeutic benefits of various essential oils, including lavender, peppermint, lemongrass, eucalyptus, and vanilla. During the session, we discussed how these fragrances can positively impact both physical and emotional well-being.

Aromatherapy is particularly beneficial for individuals living with dementia, as it may help reduce agitation and anxiety, promote improved sleep, and in some cases, support cognitive function—ultimately enhancing overall quality of life.

Our two residences came together this morning for the Move & Groove exercise program in our Assisted Living community. It was a great way to start the day—getting the circulation flowing and setting a positive tone for improved mood and focus throughout the day. Our wonderful assistant, Dannalee, did an excellent job keeping everyone engaged and energized.

We just can’t spread enough love this month! Today we hosted our monthly SPARK program where we shared Love at First Bite ❤️ with invited friends and residents. 🥗🥙
Everyone enjoyed tasty heart healthy food stations and delicious vitamin packed smoothies as we fueled our bodies and friendships 🍓🍍🥥🫐💪🏻
We even had old friends reunited a new connections made … what better way to spend a sunny afternoon in February!💕🏡

In alignment with Charter Senior Living’s “Eat, Pray, Love” theme, our residents enjoyed a day of activities inspired by Italy.

The morning began with our Painters Paradise class, where residents created beautiful works depicting historic Italian architecture and traditional cuisine. Their creativity truly brought the charm of Italy to life.

In the afternoon, we took a scenic trip to Norwood to visit a local Italian bakery, where residents selected an assortment of delicious pastries. Favorites included classic Italian-style cookies, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

As we gathered to enjoy our treats, I had the pleasure of sharing a few Italian words and phrases with the group, drawing from my own family’s Italian heritage. Several residents who have previously traveled to Italy enthusiastically contributed, demonstrating their knowledge of common greetings and how to order from an Italian menu. Together, we shared fond memories of traveling abroad, sparking meaningful conversation and heartfelt reminiscing.

It was a wonderful day filled with culture, connection, and community.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Fat Tuesday celebration yesterday, complete with lively music and festive refreshments. The sounds of jazz filled the room as residents danced and swayed along, fully embracing the spirit of the occasion. At Charter Senior Living of Dedham, music consistently brings energy, joy, and a sense of celebration to our community.

Today we’re celebrating our Charter Wide Fun Day across our communities with a toast to National Drink Wine Day.

Residents are gathering for a day of connection, laughter, and a little vineyard inspired fun. From wine socials and sparkling juice toasts to music, conversation, and cozy happy hour moments, it’s all about enjoying time together and savoring the experience.

Our Flourish residents had a wonderful time attending the Galentine’s Day event hosted by Charter Senior Living. Galentine’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating friendship, and our community embraced the spirit wholeheartedly.

Residents enjoyed delicious treats, beautiful live music, and capturing memories at our festive photo booth. The room was filled with smiles as we gathered to honor and appreciate the meaningful friendships that enrich our lives.

It was a pleasure to sponsor lunch for our senior neighbors at the Dedham Council on Aging as they learned about the happenings in town.

Thank you to Dedham Town Manager, Leon Goodwin for speaking to the seniors yesterday at the Dedham Council of Aging. Leon provided updates on town happenings and answered questions. Thank you also to Charter Senior Living in Dedham for providing a delicious lunch!

What a great morning sharing Heart Health information with our friends and Neighbors at the Center at the Heights - Aging Services ❤️

We had the opportunity to create 3 nutrient packed antioxidant smoothie recipes prepared by our community chef Angeleena -for a packed room.

Lots of fun discussing ways to keep our heart healthy as part of February heart health awareness. Thank you to the Center for inviting us to be the monthly morning coffee guest and we can’t wait to return in April!
