✨ Day 1 of Green Light Winter Break Camp ✨

We had so much fun today—and so many big wins. Campers tried new foods, used speech sounds with friends, and showed incredible confidence and smooth speech with peers.

What stood out most? The kindness. The inclusion. The way the kids supported one another so naturally.

When kids are given the right support and environment, they truly shine 💚

Our Speech + Feeding Camps were such a beautiful success — and our hearts are so full. 💚

Throughout the week, we watched kids:
✨ Build new skills
🍎 Try new foods (and even enjoy them!)
🤝 Form new friendships that we know will last beyond camp
💪 Grow in confidence, flexibility, and joy

We are so proud of every single child who showed up with bravery and curiosity. And we’re equally proud of our amazing Green Light team; their creativity, passion, and warmth make magic happen every single day.

roberts1102 is one of those rare therapists who truly sees every child — meeting them exactly where they are and helping them shine in their own way. Her sessions are filled with connection, laughter, and growth. 🌟

There’s something magical about watching our preteens light up when they walk into group and see each other 💫

Our Pr***en Social Language Group is a neurodiversity-affirming space where kids learn about their own brains — what helps them feel calm, connected, and confident. Together we explore:
🧠 creating a personal Brain Recharge Menu
🎒 building a Sensory Toolbox that actually works for them
💬 practicing how to stay in a conversation, even when ideas differ
🤝 collaborating and negotiating as a team

We’re helping these incredible kids understand what they need to thrive — at school, at home, and everywhere in between. Watching their confidence grow (and their friendships too!) is the best part 💚

💋 Why We Target Lip Closure in Myofunctional Therapy

Lips at rest should gently touch — not strained, not open.
When lips stay closed, it sets off a chain of good things:
👃 Encourages nasal breathing (which filters, warms, and humidifies air)
🦷 Supports proper dental and jaw development
💤 Promotes better sleep and oxygen flow
🗣️ Improves speech clarity and muscle coordination
🍎 Helps with chewing, swallowing, and overall oral control

When lips are often open, the muscles around the mouth can become weak and unbalanced. This can affect feeding, speech, airway health, and even facial growth.

Through myofunctional therapy, we use fun, targeted exercises to strengthen and retrain these muscles — helping kids (and adults!) maintain a natural, relaxed closed-lip rest posture.

When children with and without disabilities learn side by side, something powerful happens — empathy grows, stigma fades, and all kids learn that differences are not deficits.

Research consistently shows that inclusive classrooms help general education students develop stronger social skills, increased acceptance, and more positive attitudes toward peers with disabilities. 🌱

👉 Inclusion doesn’t just help children with special needs — it helps every child become a more understanding, compassionate, and collaborative human being.

✨ Tube Weaning Graduate ✨

When she first started weaning, eating by mouth felt like such a lofty goal. But this little girl could not be stopped! 💪💚

We focused on:

It started with a snack… then a meal… then two meals… and now she’s tube-free! 🥳🍽️

We are beyond proud of her courage, her family’s dedication, and the joy that now fills her mealtimes. 💫
