So grateful for the opportunity to present today at Simply Bee 🐝💛

We recently started collaborating with their incredible ARFID team, and it already feels like such a natural fit. When mental health providers and SLPs truly work together, kids and families benefit in the most meaningful way.

Today I shared about the role of the SLP in ARFID treatment — because while ARFID is classified as an anxiety-based disorder, it so often presents with real feeding and swallowing skill components.

We talked about:
✨ When anxiety is driving reduced exposure
✨ When skill deficits are driving anxiety
✨ How oral motor patterns, airway, sensory processing, and swallowing all play a role
✨ Why collaborative care (SLP + therapist) is the gold standard

At Green Light, we see over and over again that when the mental health piece and the feeding skill piece are addressed together, progress is not only possible — it’s powerful.

So excited about this partnership and the way we can support families together 🤍

This is .roberts1102 client — and this week he had a huge win. 🥪✨

He typically eats the exact same foods every day. Very structured, very predictable.

And this week? He happily ate a PB & J sandwich.

Wins like this are built on trust, relationship, regulation, and individualized strategy. Jamie did beautiful work honoring his pace and creating safety first.
