In partnership with Heartland Hospice, we held a beautiful, heartfelt memorial to honor our residents who we have loved and lost. They were remembered with a candle-lighting ceremony, and prayers were offered for their families and friends, keeping their memories close in our hearts.

Northern Illinois University students have been visiting all throughout November, singing with our residents and helping them prepare for their very own Christmas concert! 🎄🎶

We are so proud of our residents for their grand performance in front of staff and students last week—they truly shined! The music was wonderful, and everyone had a fantastic time!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Jessica Delnagro 🌟

Jessica has been a cook at Aperion Care DeKalb since Aperion took over the building, and she has been part of the facility for six years. She loves caring for others and enjoys getting to know all the residents. Cooking has always been one of her passions, and she takes pride in creating meals and trying new dishes for everyone to enjoy.

At home, Jessica is a proud mom of five wonderful kids and always looks forward to spending time with them, which is a highlight of her days off. Shopping is her daughter’s favorite activity, so the two often shop until they drop (or until the budget says otherwise 😆). Jessica also has a little dog named Bongo, her playful troublemaker.

We’re so grateful for the delicious meals Jessica prepares and for her caring, passionate heart. Thank you for being part of our team! 💙🧡

Earlier this month, we stopped by the DeKalb Senior Center to share fruit, pastries and our gratitude with Club 55 attendees in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Congrats to a first-time visitor who took home our raffle basket!
