Wishing our wonderful Administrator, Erica Falks, a very happy Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week! 🎉

Erica is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care, supporting our staff, and ensuring every resident is treated with compassion and dignity. Thanks to her leadership, our facility continues to be a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Her adorable assistant, Walter, named after Chicago Bears legend Walter Payton (Erica is a big Bears fan!), also brings lots of cheer to the building. During their daily walks through the halls, both Erica and Walter check on everyone and ensure the building is running smoothly. 🐾

When Erica's not at Aperion Care DeKalb, you can find her working in the yard, spending time with friends and family, and likely watching football or Blackhawks games next to her cozy fireplace.

Thank you, Erica, for your leadership, dedication and the positive difference you make every day!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Soscha Lucero, RN 🌟

Soscha Lucero has been a dedicated nurse for eight years and joined Team DeKalb just a few months ago. Her passion for nursing was inspired at age 16, when her mother experienced cardiac arrest. Witnessing the compassion and care the nurses provided left a lasting impression and guided her toward a career in healthcare.

Soscha enjoys caring for the geriatric population, taking time to hear their life stories and ensuring their needs are always met. She is never afraid to jump in and help wherever she’s needed, and you can always find her with a smile on her face.

Outside of work, Soscha is a proud mom to her 5-year-old daughter who is "the best!" She enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, landscaping, and expressing her creativity through drawing and painting. She is also working toward becoming a nurse practitioner, hoping to continue making a difference in the same setting she loves.

We are so grateful for Soscha’s care and commitment to Aperion Care DeKalb and our residents! 💙🧡

✨ Employee Spotlight: Jessica Fraedrich, DON ✨

Jessica Fraedrich joined Aperion Care DeKalb two and a half years ago as a newer nurse and has since grown into her role as Director of Nursing. Her journey has been shaped by the phenomenal training and support of her floor nurses, as well as the residents who helped her learn and grow along the way.

Jessica always keeps her door open, giving staff a space to share concerns, ask questions, or simply talk things through. She has become a trusted go-to counselor for many, known for listening and offering thoughtful advice. She is never afraid to step in when help is needed, and you can often find her behind a med cart supporting her floor nurses when duty calls.

Jessica is a proud mom of three beautiful daughters and a cat she loves teaching new tricks. She is currently in her final semester of her master’s program, specializing in nursing education. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending warm days outdoors with her girls and many weekends at the water park.

Thank you Jessica for all that you do! We are grateful to have watched you grow into such an incredible Director of Nursing, and we look forward to seeing where your leadership takes us next. 💙🧡
