Today feels different when you’re from here.
April 19th isn’t just a date—it’s a memory we carry.
We were children when the Oklahoma City bombing happened. Old enough to feel the fear, the confusion, the heaviness… even if we didn’t fully understand it yet.
We remember the silence that followed.
The way the adults spoke softer.
The way our community came together in a way that changed us forever.
That day shaped Oklahoma.
But it also revealed something deeper—resilience, compassion, and a kind of love that shows up in the hardest moments.
In moments like this, we are reminded that healing is not loud.
It is quiet.
It is found in breath, in stillness, in remembering.
Today, we honor those who were taken.
We hold space for the families who still carry that loss.
And we remember the strength that lives in this community.
Light a candle.
Step outside and feel the earth beneath your feet.
Send love into the world, even in the smallest ways.
Because even in the darkest moments, light finds a way to return.
Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, we choose love.
