Our pediatric dental and orthodontic team is specially trained to care for infants, children, teens and special needs patients. At Sunny Smiles Kids, our team is committed to your child's safety and well being. With a focus on providing excellent care to the most apprehensive kids, our practice offers a nurturing and genuinely caring approach.
Designed for its young patients, the office features a fun and inviting carnival theme to make kids and their parents feel at ease about visiting the dentist. It features a prize vending machine, helium balloons, a photo booth and video games. The practice services include orthodontics, complete routine preventative care, as well as fillings, crowns, tooth extractions, sedation dentistry and 24-hour emergency care.
Our progressive technology includes digital 3D scanners, fluorescence cavity detectors, needle-less injections as well as digital x-rays that expose your child to 90% less radiation than conventional methods.

HISTORY
Established in 2012
Sunny Smiles Kids Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is the full-service pediatric practice of Dr. Jacquelyn K. Do.
The original practice name, Sunny Smiles, was created in New York City in 2006 when Dr. Jackie first started dreaming of owning her own practice. Her vision was to build a practice themed around "sunny" cities in America, one of which being San Diego, California.
Fast forward to the start of 2012- Sunny Smiles Kids finds its new name and new home nested among the flowing palm trees of Del Mar. The office started construction in July of 2012 and opened its doors that following November.
ABOUT DR. JACKIE
Dr. Jacquelyn K. Do is a specialist in pediatric dentistry and has been certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been providing excellent care in private practice since 2003. Her specialty training began at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City.
After receiving her doctorate degree from Columbia University she continued her focused training in pediatric dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, the NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital and the Rose F. Kennedy Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center. This extended specialty training has provided her with a solid foundation of knowledge on delivering dental care to children with special needs and medically compromised conditions. Her level of training and expertise has also enabled her to care for the most anxious and apprehensive children.
Dr. Jackie's practice philosophy is centered on promoting preventive care and to helping parents and children develop a healthy and happy dental home.
