HISTORY Established in 2012 Sunny Smiles Kids Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is the full-service pediatric practice of Dr. Jacquelyn K. Do. The original practice name, Sunny Smiles, was created in New York City in 2006 when Dr. Jackie first started dreaming of owning her own practice. Her vision was to build a practice themed around "sunny" cities in America, one of which being San Diego, California. Fast forward to the start of 2012- Sunny Smiles Kids finds its new name and new home nested among the flowing palm trees of Del Mar. The office started construction in July of 2012 and opened its doors that following November. ABOUT DR. JACKIE Dr. Jacquelyn K. Do is a specialist in pediatric dentistry and has been certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been providing excellent care in private practice since 2003. Her specialty training began at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. After receiving her doctorate degree from Columbia University she continued her focused training in pediatric dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, the NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital and the Rose F. Kennedy Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center. This extended specialty training has provided her with a solid foundation of knowledge on delivering dental care to children with special needs and medically compromised conditions. Her level of training and expertise has also enabled her to care for the most anxious and apprehensive children. Dr. Jackie's practice philosophy is centered on promoting preventive care and to helping parents and children develop a healthy and happy dental home.
