A deep bow of respect and appreciation to Veterans for hard work, sacrifice and ongoing showing up…. The timing of my holiday rate reduction did begin with Veteran’s Day…. I see folks are checking! :-). Sooooo… Yes! I am indeed running a stress relief holidays rate reduction to $50 an hour for the holiday season for apptmts and gift certificates… I sent out emails to those who I have emails ‘for’ and posted a couple of flyers locally, but I should probably confirm here on the social media for those who might be wondering! It felt important, especially this year, to make massage therapy and energy healing work a little easier for those who appreciate and would like to gift that way of caring for Self and others… A token of gratitude and ‘extra’ care in these stress-full times, until Dec. 28! ‘Be/Stay curious!’ — A phrase we often hear or use in to energy healing classes or education… Turns out curiosity/awe/wonder is good for you/us! Soooo… stay curious!

From reduced inflammation to pain relief to increased levels of dopamine, there are tangible benefits behind emotions like curiosity and amusement.

I have personally experienced - and observed - that shifting the energetic patterning of emotion, mind, and body when a client is ready to and sets the intention to shift - can exponentially shift shame, fear, pain, and other patterns that may be epigenetically woven into someone’s matrix… Experiencing and practicing (doing) Awakening Healing Axis’ techniques has been key and foundational for me in this — it breaks new ground in energy theory and practice…. and... there will be a workshop for practitioners and clients alike to learn and gain tools for personal practice in just a couple of weeks in Minneapolis…. After a week or so break from Facebook, I returned last evening to an inundation of fears and anxieties, as well as news stories folks felt were important.… Which - they are! However, this NatGeo research, which I’m sure other mainstream sources are also reporting, is quite important also… Great and simple suggestion for how to educate Self while remaining less hooked into trauma at the end…. After living in conflict zones for a few years in my 20s, I would follow them even when I wasn’t able to make an effective response (in my world)… which kept me in a state of anxiety and stress…. which affected my capacity and ability to deal with the daily living in present, real time at home and work. I was starting to realize what doomscrolling - as it meant for me - was doing, and so after, for example, 9-11, I intentionally did not watch repeated footage… not because I didn’t care, but because I wanted to keep my systems open and flowing so that I could respond more thoughtfully and effectively…. Now I continue that practice, so that the years of healing work can reap benefits through selective and thoughtful ingestion of information so that I can detach from the spin and monitor and deescalate internal reactions…. and respond thoughtfully in the best way that I am able to! Always a work in process!

Experts say graphic images, nonstop outrage, and the 24/7 negative news cycle don’t just upset us—they alter our stress response and harm mental health.

It was such a delight to reconnect to Denver AHA/HTP practitioners at AHA’s ‘energy basics’ workshop on Saturday… “ Reconnect to Your Intuition, Create Healthy Boundaries, and Nurture Yourself as You Explore Your Soul’s Path!” SO fun to review the material to teach, re-member the key importance of boundaries and practice healthier energetic ways of interacting… and enjoy the company and joy of folks experiencing this work for the first time! This workshop dials back the PhD level energy work AHA first introduced for practitioners to a simplified one-day format…. AHA co-founders Franny and Perry Harcey are scheduled in Minneapolis this fall yet, and the material is different enough that gathering a group of humans to enjoy and experience this new paradigm in human ‘being’ and self care would be useful and supportive for folks any-where! — look at the description, feel if it resonates — and schedule a workshop in your region! Redwoods - such a powerful place to meditate, ‘be’, listen…

The photo above my page here is from the West Coast - our little family of four took a gorgeous road trip along the coast and to the redwoods to see new territory and reconnect with old friends…. As we parents are older, some friends we hadn’t seen for 25 or so years… I was struck by how lovely it was to reconnect at another level of maturity, to see how we have fulfilled or shifted some of our young adult dreams or practices….

As I listened to my old friend speak about bringing folks together from our common past community, I was struck by how healing and how important doing this is at this time in the world particularly.

Do we need to revisit or re-member to bring in those who we may have left behind or left out — respecting boundaries but with the intent to heal and learn what we might have not seen or noticed at the time… Do we need to see that but let it be what it is until such time as others reach out to invite our support? In any case - reconnecting with compassion and respect for what others have been through (and appropriate boundaries!) might just shift the frequency or level that we all function at for the better….
