Last week we celebrated Nurse Practitioner Week, and while the days passed quickly, our gratitude for our Nurse Practitioners is something that all of us at Cadena Family Practice celebrate all year long.

We are proud to recognize all of our Nurse Practitioners, Maria I. Darden, APRN, FNP-BC, Danny De Hoyos, APRN, FNP-C, and Clover Johnson, APRN, FNP-C, for their advanced clinical training, thoughtful communication, and genuine compassion each of them bring to every patient interaction that makes an extraordinary difference!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

At Cadena Family Practice, we’re proud to wear pink and stand together in support of everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer — survivors, fighters, and loved ones alike.

This month (and every month), we continue to spread awareness about the importance of regular checkups and mammograms. Staying proactive with your health is an empowering way to take care of yourself and those you love.

Our amazing team had a DESPICABLY good time participating in this year’s Trunk or Treat event for differently abled children hosted by KWMC 1490am !

Dressed as Gru and his mischievous Minions, we may have stolen the moon but we also brought plenty of laughter, fun, and a little bit of banana-loving chaos to the celebration! We loved seeing all the creative costumes, bright smiles, and joyful energy throughout the event.

It was truly heartwarming to connect with families and celebrate the season in a safe, accessible, and inclusive way. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that values togetherness, inclusion, and fun for every child.

At Cadena Family Practice, we’re committed to keeping our patients and community safe by staying prepared for any emergency. Yesterday, our team successfully completed the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Training!

A huge thank you to CPR Providers for traveling all the way from San Antonio to Del Rio to provide our staff with convenient on-site training. Joyce’s excellent instruction combined expertise with enthusiasm, creating a positive and effective learning experience for our entire team.
