Ever had a pair of sneakers you loved—but eventually outgrew?

That's exactly where we are with our name. It's served us well, but we've outgrown it. What once fit perfectly now holds us back – making it seem like we only offer workshops for girls, when we’re here for so much more.

So we're making a change. This March, we’re announcing our new name – one that truly reflects the whole community we serve. Stay tuned!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Oconomowoc High School Fashion Club, sponsored by Moreland OB‑GYN, for hosting such a fantastic fashion show last week. The creativity, confidence, and energy the students brought to the runway were inspiring, and we are truly grateful for your dedication to supporting youth mental health in our community.

We are honored to have been chosen as the recipient of the event’s proceeds, and we absolutely loved seeing all the pink and yellow outfits lighting up the room.

As you plan future events and fundraisers, we hope you’ll continue to keep the Gals On The Go Project in mind. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we would be thrilled to partner with you again to uplift and empower local youth.

On Friday, we had our February Beauty Inside & Out workshop, where we help girls discover their strengths while having fun. On top of our mindfulness activities, glitter globes, sleep mask creations, and journal decorating, we also had a special guest, Andrea Weisman, the United States of America's Mrs. WI.

It's crucial our children see relatable, positive adult role models. Andrea was wonderful with the girls, and we appreciate her support of our mission. If you can think of a way we can collaborate with you, please reach out! Thanks again, Andrea, for coming and reminding our young girls they are enough just as they are.

What a memorable Friday yesterday was! We started our morning hosting the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce for a Coffee and Conversation at our facility. We love getting to show off our new spot for community workshops! Deanna Marincic, the founder of Gals on the Go Project, spoke on burnout and reclaiming your energy. Delicious food from Pick Me Up Snacks & Charcuterie! We hope everyone left feeling a little more inspired, centered, and ready to tackle the day!

In the afternoon, we held a Beauty Inside & Out workshop for girls aged 9-11. The girls did activities that challenged the myth of perfection, explored their unique gifts, and learned self-care techniques. We also had a special guest, United States of America's Mrs. WI Andrea Weisman, to talk with the girls. Thanks to all that joined our workshop yesterday. We are fighting unrealistic beauty standards, one girl at a time!
