Introducing Thrive Together — a new name for a mission you already know.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Waukesha County since 2017, we've been delivering prevention and resiliency-building workshops for youth — developed by a licensed clinical team and tailored to every age group. That work hasn't changed. But our name has.

Our former name, Gals on the Go Project, reflected our roots — we started as a program for girls, and we're proud of that foundation. But as the need grew, so did we. Years ago, we expanded to serve all youth, because we recognized that building resilience in young people works best when we invest in the whole community. Our new name, Thrive Together, tells that fuller story. It speaks to what we believe at our core: that every young person deserves the tools to thrive, and that we're all stronger when we show up for one another.

Same mission. Same commitment to our community. A name that finally opens the door for everyone.

It feels like watching a child grow up. 'Gals on the Go Project' has carried us through countless milestones, and we couldn't be prouder of everything we've accomplished under this name. But just like any child who outgrows their shoes, we've outgrown ours — and we know there's so much more we can offer the Lake Country community with a name that truly reflects who we've become.

So thank you, GOTGP. Thank you for shaping us, carrying us, and getting us to where we are today. We wouldn't be here without you. But tomorrow, we graduate — and we cannot wait to introduce you to what comes next.

We are so excited to reintroduce ourselves to you with our new name – so soon! While we are getting a new name, our purpose, workshops, and mission is staying the same.

Our non-profit is focused on creating fun and interactive workshops focused on topics such as healthy relationships, resiliency building, effective coping strategies, boosting confidence, calming anxiety, and many more. These workshops are designed for youth from ages 5-13 to work on these essential life skills with people other than parents and teachers. We are proud to be positively influencing the youth of Waukesha County to care about their mental health. Our new name is going to help us reach more youth!

We are going to miss our name, Gals on the Go Project. It has served us well over the years. But as we’ve been growing, we have been helping more than just ‘gals’ in our community. Our first workshops back in 2017 were made for girls, but our founder realized the need is much bigger, and we could reach more local kids. We are changing our name to open doors for every kid who needs these life skills. Although our name is changing, our mission to lead youth mental health prevention is staying the same. We are just getting a new look, but our dedication, commitment, and passion remain unchanged.

Announcement week is finally here! We have been working tirelessly to ensure that this transition to our new name goes smoothly. Everything you love about Gals on the Go Project, you will still love with our new name, because we aren’t losing anything.

We need to change names because our current name holds us back, making it seems like we only help girls, when we have workshops for both boys AND girls. But our mission, workshops, fundraisers, and other things you’ve come to know and love – will remain the same. We are just getting a more inclusive name.

Change can be scary — especially when it's personal. But stepping into a new identity, whether that's a fresh look, a new way of thinking, or a complete rebrand, can be freeing.

Our founder, Deanna Marincic, is also the owner of Gals Institute. Being named similarly has helped us establish our legitimacy in the community. However, we want to make it clear that our workshops are not just for those who get treatment at Gals Institute.

We are an independent non-profit. While connected through our shared leader to Gals Institute, we operate independently to serve all youth in Waukesha County and beyond. While we are grateful for the doors that the name ‘Gals on the Go Project’ has opened for us, we are ready for our new name to better represent how we serve the Lake Country community.
